Any half-decent local garage should be able to do the belts for £250-ish. (Depends on labour rates - my local guy is less than 30 quid / hour).

It's only a cambelt change and certainly no more complicated than a lot of other modern cars.

I ran a '99 145 Cloverleaf for more than 3 years and apart from a burst clutch slave cylinder it was a gem.

Just find a local specialist to keep it serviced and you'll be fine...

Make sure it's red though:P

I've had two. Red early model (1996) and a black facelift (1999). Ran the second one until last year. Great cars and a proper hot hatch - grunty, distinctive, FUN. Also very practical with lots of room inside and well equipped too. Big thumbs up from me.
