Hi,

Always hankered after a Integrale, but dont know too much about them - does this one seem curiously cheap:

Thanks for any info.

Hmm, does seem v cheap! Maybe it was a write off which is why he's been restoring it for 3 years. Not sure how he works out 140,000km to be 70,000miles? I am always a bit suspicious when I see random pics of cars i.e half the front and the back seats??
Worth a look if its not too far though

In general, if something seems to good to be true.

However bear in mind you often get lemons priced up because "it's a Lotus, it must be worth that much" or "it's a Ferrari, it must be worth that much" and conversely you will sometimes get people who are about to go bankrupt or whatever and really do have to sell a mint car for half it's normal value as long as it goes that afternoon. Don't suppose it happens often though and I'd be very wary of anything like that. HPI is probably a good first call.

For the state of the bodywork, shabby interior and the fact that it's clearly been resprayed, it's not a bad price. Expect to spend the same again on it to make it a very nice car.

As with anything like this, go to view it with a good specialist, and with your eyes wide open.

WAYYY too cheap - but if you are after a rare and in reasonably good nick 'grale, I have a friend who is having to sell his - essentially he can't afford to run it anymore as it's his daily drive.
He will be looking closer to £12K though. He's probably going to take it to a classic auction, but I'm happy to get details if anyone's interested in a private sale.

If you do a bit of digging via the PH Search facility, you'll find that the general consensus with 'Grale owners is that for every quid you save on the initial purchase, you'll probably spend ten extra quid in running costs.

Although I've yet to own a 'Grale, I do suspect that a relatively tuned car with 3 differentials is the kind of motor where it pays to spend that bit extra on finding a decent example.

The Search facility will also tell you that there are plenty of mingers out there in s/hand 'Grale world, with highly dubious histories...

BTW - the price seems about right to me - nothing jumps out as suspiciously cheap.

Only comment I'd have is........BUY IT!

So long as the engine, diffs & box is sound you could split it for 3K....
