Was at the Autosport show at the NEC on Saturday and a Red 16v Integrale caught my eye on the Piston Heads stand......the reason it stood out was it was the very car I owned back in 1996...I couldn't believe it...if I caught eye of the owner I would have had my cheque book out buying it back.....thats if the other half wasn't there.

When I had the car if was spotless and I was really pleased to see it was still in great condition.

If the owners on here I have added a bit of history of the car below.

I purchased the car from Richard Thorne in 1996. I aked him to look out for one for me and he found an stunning example in Italy I believe. I purchased the car on the foreign plate...HAKN 24 (still have the plates in my garage)...I then took it to the DVLA in Cardiff to get it UK registered which is the plate it's on now. The car never let me down in the year that I had it and the only thing I changed was the gear knob to a alcantara one. The car went back to Richard Thorne after about a year of ownership. He had found a buyer for the car straight away....Great car I hope you are enjoying it.

Hi Andy,

I am the current proud owner biggrin Thanks for posting up; you're actually the second previous owner to contact me recently! Going off the paperwork and your profile, I gather you traded it in for an e30 M3?

Thanks for the info of your ownership; im actually gathering a fairly good picture of the cars UK history now smile She really is a credit to the previous owners as it still looks good nearly 20years on.

I am definately going to miss this car cry

Yep thats me. Had an E30 M3 EVO11 which Richard took in PX. The car was supurb when I purchased it but when I took it back to Richard he couldn't believe it was actualy in better condition.....I was sad like that.....inside the wheel arches where red and clean as I used to clean them every week...it was def a cracker.

I take it you have now sold the car. After seeing the car on Sat I noticed it in the classified on here.....

No way, somebody else as sad as me! biglaugh Yep, I would say it recieves similar attention from me; the detail is in the bits you can't see haha.

Went I first decided to sell one of the other CLS guys was going to buy it, but due to a change of circumstances he dropped out. I've had a few other enquiries, but nothing serious as of yet... I'm putting it down to time of yesr/market as I believe at the price im asking, it's a bargain!!!

But maybe with exposure at the weekend somebody will snap my hand off cry

Hi guys,

meanwhile I am the proud owner of this beauty and have imported it very recently into Belgium. The condition is stunning, and it had a complete engine rebuild. I will post some pictures if interested.
The only problem i now have is that the Belgian registration dept. is only seeing the first date of registration as 1997.

Andy,
do you have by any chance, some document related to the old reg.no. HAKN24 which can help me out and register my red baby as an oldtimer?

thanks in advance and best regards,

Filip
