Which is a big issue as I bought one only 2 weeks ago! frown

However, even with the seat right back and the typical italian-ape position I'm still having to lean my head to one side slightly as its touching the roof (only just 6ft tall) and therefore its triggering a longstanding back niggle. Think my limbs are the wrong shape! wink

Slightly distraught as might have to sell it as a result, which is annoying as I've just spent £250 on a new throttle body and fan resistor. Short of putting my head out the sunroof I'm stumped as to how to solve this problem - anyone else had the same?

Hi, I'm just over 6ft and fit fine. The pillar box view takes some getting used to at first although not as extreme as a Cerbera. My GTV has no sunroof so that may give me extra room. Which shoes do you wear? Racing shoes so that no leg room is lost to shoe thinkness are best. The other thing is to go to a trimmer and have the seat restuffed thinner - not just removing a bit of padding but a complete rebuild.

Good luck, Jonathan

Has a lift in one once, most uncomfortable passenger ride ever, oh and I'm 6'2".

We had a Spider and I managed to fit in (6ft), but unless the seat was well reclined I found the same, head angled to the left!

Looks like 6ft is the limit, like the idea about removing padding, but that won't help your back.

That won't help I'm sure.
Amazing how much headroom they take off.

Had a lift in a mate's GTV recently, no way at all I could sit upright - I'm six one.

I am 6ft 3 and fit fine, the driving position is crap regardless of your height and the seats whilst looking good offer no comfort or support (mu old Cerb was leagues ahead). But if you adjust the seat settings then you'll come to a decent compromise, however it maybe that the sunroof is taking and extra couple of inches.

Jules.

The sunroof's the killer. I'm fine in my (non-sunroof) car at 6'2" but I've also driven one with a SR and found it very uncomfortable.

I'm only 5'8" and had a loan GTV with a sunroof and my hair was brushing the ceiling! (spikyish hair tho!)

In my GTV with no sunroof there's plenty of room. I find the driving position very comfortable and the seats very comfortable. My passengers seem to aswell... when making long journeys and when I have someone with me (rare) they always seem to fall asleep, and that's despite the V6 howling away!

its the sunroof that seems to be doing it. i have reasonably big feet (a wide 12) so am already only driving it with the thinnest sole shoes to avoid getting my feet snagged!

My dad has a GTV spider and I fit in it fine-ish. He has the phase 2 momo seats in it. From driving it I found out I love the car and want to get the GTV v6 24v and was wondering if the roof is any smaller in the hard top compared to the spider?

I am 6ft 3".

I think it is the sunroof too! This always reduces a bit of headroom. I am 6ft3, and have size 12 feet too!! Although my legs are more cramped than previous car (which was a 5 series so massive) I find it quite comfortable and like the driving position!

Apart from shrinking...you may have to swap cars as it isn't worth damaging your neck/spine from being very uncomfortable.

Have you tried a GTV without a sunroof for size?

6' 1" and had my GTV for over 10 years with no problem. Had a 6' 4" passenger that was fine too.

No sunroof - really is a head-room killer.

I loved the driving position.

gotta be the sunroof thats doing it, i'm really having to tilt my head.

don't use it as a daily driver so no rush to sell it but might have to. ho hum!

out of interest, does the spider have more or less headroom (with the roof up of course!)?

My current 75 has a sunroof and the previous one didn't. I didn't notice the comparative lack of headroom until I got in wearing a crash helmet!

But then I'm only 6 foot tall.

Had the same problem, thankfully I found out on the test drive. Bought a Fiat Coupe instead. I'm six two, 34 inside leg and the Fiat was prefect. smile
