I've always thought of the GT as a GTV with just a bit more space. wink
Was originally designed to cash in on the hard top convertible craze, hence the shape, until a lack of funds meant they changed it to a coupe late on. Always seemed odd that Alfa would have two coupes in the range but that explained the rationale.
I thought it was a development for the Brera. The last of the modular 166/156/147/Bravo/Brava/Multipla/Coupe platform before the 159 was used as a the base.

I nearly swapped my GTV for a 145 CLoverleaf. As I'm six two and can't get anyone in the back the 145 is a little more practical and much more of a classic. wink

A little GTV update. I got a diagnosticmebob with the car when I bought her and for the first week I kept having to reset the ubiquitous throttle position sensor fault but since I've lent the resettifyer to someone no lights have come up.

Currently track only but once she's been to Alfaholics she should be road legal.

All three here.

Cleaned the Brera & GT this morning while the Spider remains snugged up.

Just bought this as a daily driver and a companion for the F355. 2 Italian cars, am I insane? Only time will tell! However it is very comfortable, the interior possibly better than the 355 and the seats are fantastic and possibly the best I've sat in.
Good work! Excellent colour choice...heres mine after I dug it our after returning from the UK last week.

Yes, it began life as a GT Junior. It's going to be a lot closer to a GTA by the time I'm done with it! A true GTA is very big money these days!

Hello chaps. Guess I’m joining you in this corner of PH for a while. I bought this over the Christmas break.

Because obviously, a 12-year-old 156 with the notorious JTS engine is a perfect choice for winter shed motoring, right? Right?

Oh.

It will either bankrupt me, or prove everybody wrong. Either way, it won’t be dull.

So far, the front suspension needs work (I know, ‘they all do that Sir’), the driver’s side electric window controls don’t work, and the engine management light has flashed on three times whilst I was halfway across the Cairngorm mountains in the snow.

(I plugged in a code reader and happily found only one issue - a misfire in cylinder three – so I’ve replaced that coil pack. I’ve yet to determine whether it has helped at all.)

RIP I believe. Sold the car at the end of May to a young lad. Looks like he binned it (or it was binned)shortly after as the records now show it as an insurance write-off with a VIC marker cry

Hopefully he wasn't hurt.

Christmas Day at work so I washed, polished, vacuumed out and washed the polish residue from my GTV. Spending today wondering why the interior fan doesn't work when all the circuits check out apart from the slightly melted fuse box. rolleyes

Just like Fiat if you don't love these cars you probably wouldn't put up with them. hehe

Bought this a couple of months ago.

2007 JTDm - Loads of history, recent cam belt tensioners, clutch.

Since I got it I have re bushed most of it, replaced the N/S drive shaft

Remapped to around 195bhp.

Really enjoying the Alfa ownership after some mundane company cars.
