That's a beautiful car. It is to never be sold as so emotionally attached to the lil' blighter!
ETA
Still have the original alloys too, but they're on tough to get trx tyres so added these 33 alloys.

My Sud is also on 33 alloys. I still have a set of original wheels with good TRX tyres, but they're a bit old, so I wouldn't want to risk it.It is to never be sold as so emotionally attached to the lil' blighter!

A couple of weeks ago I picked up a set of unused wheels with Michelin asymmetric tyres for my '76 Giulia. Brand new, and dry stored in a cellar. 40 year old unused tyres and wheels!
I think I've got away with it.
We gave up bailing out the garage once the water started coming into the house, it'd been getting about an inch deeper every half-hour by that point. Once we realised we couldn't keep the house dry either we retreated upstairs, and didn't want to come down the next morning...
However it looks like it only got a couple of inches deeper than when left it, so in the house it was just above the skirting boards and in the garage it was maybe 10 inches deep, judging by the tyres.
Water all drained away over a couple of days, and I've not taken the car too far but it starts, stops, steers fine. I'll get it properly checked over when I get a chance, but it looks promising for the moment.
Looking at the tidemark on the door sill, I think another inch of depth and the water would have been in the car. That wouldn't have been good.
