^^^^ thanks Stephen, I heard via the grape vine that you bought the car. Can't get enough can you? smile Congrats - there are a few youtube clips of the car on track.

Thankfully no nasty surprises during the pre MOT test - things like track rod nuts need tightening, lights adjustment, rear fog light required, side light not working. I knew about the cracked windscreen and have ordered a new one.

Not quite to the standards of your original 3.0 but we have a good basis to work from knowing the bodywork is 100%.

My only headache is a correct 3.0 badge - mine went walkies and now have to find someone to make the rectangle to glue over the 2.5 bit.

You clearly are going to track the new acquisition?

I've been looking for a second car for a while, to take some pressure off the BMW 325 (though I have been using my wifes Pug 307 quite a bit).
This phase 1 GTV TS popped up on ebay, less than a while away, and the rest is history...
Picked it up yesterday evening. Have done 30-40 miles in it today. Early impressions -

-Really nice condition, just under 84,000 miles, recent service, cambelt, brakes all round.
-Runs really smoothly, I thought it might feel a little under-powered but I was happy with the performance.
-Only concern was towards the end of my drive the clutch got a little creaky and stuck to the floor at one point. Otherwise, seems to perform fine. I will have this looked at in the next couple of weeks - a quick google suggests this is not a unique problem on these!

A readers car thread will follow in a few weeks once I get to know it better. My first Alfa, fingers crossed it goes ok.

Fix clutch, drive regularly, enjoy. Looks nice. Should be as reliable as any other car on the road I expect.

I've only owned this for a few weeks. I had an Alfasud Ti when I was very much younger and I have always wanted another Alfasud since. This one is in remarkably good condition for its age (1982). It has 21,000 miles on the clock.

I think I've posted these before but here is our Sprint. Owned for over 20 years.....

We still have the original wheels but can get better tyres on the '33' split rims

Looks absolutely lovely! I do like the Sprint in red. I see you have the front fog lights. Were these optional at the time of purchase and is it still possible to get them?

Thank you mon ami, it's definitely a keeper this one smile

Front fogs I thought were standard on the Cloverleaf but I guess not if yours doesn't have them?
