Some truly lovely cars here...I dont usually ever lurk around this part of PH but a few weeks ago the OH was looking for a new car and we ended up at the Suzuki dealers, looking at a new Alto..only 6k OTR and ticked many boxes for her...free road tax, low servicing, good MPG being the maon ones.

We had all but done the deal on a new Swift but I persuaded her to have a look in the Alfa garage across the road (having had a Sud or two back ih the 80s), many of us had 33s, Giulietta's, 75s and 164s over the years, Alfa's adverts on Eurosport and sponsership of WSB caught my eye of recent too.

Anywqy, after a great test ride and some serious haggling, the girlfriend was convinced she had to have a new MITO Sportiva Twin Air, it ticked all the Suzuki Alto boxes with somewhat more style.

We picked it up this morning, so far shes loving it....as am I.

Any good meets in Nortants, Buxks or Beds you guys woukd recomend? Is tye Cloverleaf club worth joining ? Any other advice regards the car appreciated.

Just picked this up as a runaround this week.

147 JTDm Lusso in Radifocani Red, which looks brownish until the sun comes out and then the red flake sparkles and transforms it.

Had a couple of 33's back in the day and I must say its great to be back in an Alfa.

I have always struggled with the fact Alfa were to go diesel but the engine pulls and revs well and it still drives like an Alfa should.

Interior is very nice and for a small car it's a comfortable ride.

Quality smile

We did the Route Napoleon to Cannes the back up via Millau & Paris. Car got so much attention, even from Supercar drivers.

Spurred on by a recent "Where are all the 156s" thread, I thought I may as well post this (as it is a veloce 2.4JTD which the OP of that thread was seeking). Bought from its original owner (of 14 years) last October, it was initially a 6 month "winter hack". Unfortunately I had to spend a bit more than anticipated sorting out the clutch and as it owes me it is now a keeper. On the upside, this is the only car I have owned in - ooh - 20 years that needs NOTHING doing to it. Absolutely everything works as it should. I couldn't say that about my previous BMWs, Saabs or Renaults all of which had uneconomical to repair niggles. Amazing.

Bodywork is rather tatty in places but it's all booked in to get sorted next month.

I'll be bringing it to the meet next month as well, Simon.

Giulietta 1.6JTDM collezione, bought pre-registered in February with 1 mile on the clock, now up to 6000. It's my wife's car, and she really wanted chrome mirrors, so that was an easy birthday present sorted. Totally trouble free and 50+ mpg. Just done 1200 miles in a week on a trip to Holland and Germany, where the car got quite a few stares, which I'm used to in my car but not this one.
