Shame was going to ask you about the wheels...
Team Dynamics Pro Race I think, 1.2 maybe?
Good shout but too many spokes when I googled them (are they called that on car rims Ive gone blank on the name!).

I was thinking O.Z superturismo maybe.

Not Team dynamics, too few spokes. Look almost like OZ Superturismos, but the inside looks a bit too dished (around the bolts), though i think is due to the low offset it would likely have at that width. There are a couple of other similar styles, but those are the closest, and a classic. See here for some on an Integrale.

Please can you tell me what's the exhaust on your car ? central pipes at the rear rather than L/H side - be interested to know what it is . Are the wheels 17" compomotive ?

Compos? Wash your mouth out with soap! Speedlines. smile

Exhaust will be bespoke, Ferrari diffuser IIRC.

Hi. Yep, wheels are definitely Speedline - 8 x 17 I think. Took me about a year to get them from Italy in the anthracite colour. They kept wanting to sell me silver but had my heart set on the darker ones.. And yes it's a Ferrari F430 rear diffuser, cut down underneath and obviously modded to fit, not too difficult. The exhaust is an 80mm, single rear box system which feeds out of the left pipe. The right pipe is un-silenced but with a valvetronic system which only opens at around 0.6 bar boost and closes after a 3 second run-on. The valve is Maserati and works really well, I can switch it off completely and it's not too loud or I can override it if hooning around.. It's not to everyone's taste but I like it. The exhaust tail pipes are from a F430 as well, so I've tried to keep it all Italian!
Cheers, Terry

Thanks very much for your reply. Did you manufacture the exhaust yourself or have someone make it for you ? ( if so I'd love to get the contact details please - not bought an Integrale yet but could get myself an exhaust in preparation !)

If you should decide to sell your car please drop me a line !

Best Wishes

My Lancia with a 2002 Thesis 3.0 V6 24V.
Fabby!

A 3 litre V6 sounds just about spot on for a Montecarlo. The only one that I have driven, with the standard double carb two litre twin cam, was pleasant but felt a tad underpowered. With a decent V6 in the car, I should think you are looking at mid engined Maserati levels of fun but fun without the cost or reliability issues of a classic Maserati.
Isn't the V6 a tad to heavy for the Monte? My idea would be a turboed 2 litre to have 250 brake on tap.

The Alfa V6: 170 kgs / 250 brake.

As a former Lotus-head*, I take your point about maintaining lightness. I am not a huge fan of forced induction, but maybe a Volumex? Having said that, IIRC, the engine bay of the Montecarlo could not accommodate the supercharger.

* Alas, I am Lotus-less at present, but hope this state will not long endure.

There's a guy in the States on the Lancisti forum who has put a VX engine into a Scorpion. For those that don't know it's the same as a Montecarlo but with terrible headlights. He had to do a little modification to the firewall I think but he got it in there. I think it would be a great mod in the monte.

Hi Terry, I'm considering putting some 8 x 17 Speedlines on my Evo 2 when it arrives. Can i ask if you needed spacers to get the look you have and do you get any rubbing in the wheelarches at all? You car looks great by the way!

I've had a few Lancia's over the years, first back in the mid 80's was one of the last Monte Carlo spiders.

Here is my current one (includes a few stills from New Avengers) a 1964 Vignale.

Purdeytastic! I imagine that "Joanna Lumley's bum touched this seat when she was Purdey" must enhance value more than somewhat.
