Spotted this pic on my missus' facebook when she was browsing the other day, it's not directly her friend but she know who took the pic.

What a total . Pics like this really really piss me off.

Drunk or not I do not know anyone who would do this. People who say it's just a car. Even if you see it that way it's still vandalism. How about if someone walked in your house smashed you new flatscreen while raping your partner. That's how a petrolhead would feel about this being his car. If I laid my hands on someone that done that to my car there would be no need for an ambulance just a shovel. I hope I have expressed my feelings well enough in words byebye

Perhaps he's a model and the car is used as a prop for models? I mean 5 persons sat on your car - plain bad luck?
There's no place for logic like that here, now where's my flaming torch and pitchfork.

What an absolute fktard.

I would like to think that no one I know would do something like that, but as a student myself I can safely say there are some right fking strange people out there in university.

People just have no idea how to respect other people's property. Last year when my car was parked in the student car park (as far away form everyone else as possible) it was scraped in all 4 corners by idiots using it as a bumper furious

I actually caught someone scraping it once, and when "questioned" their response was "it is only a car, that is what bumpers are for"! I educated him on the matter... hehe

fking students, the human vermin.

A lad once told me a story about how drunken students would run over the roof of his his VW Beetle every Friday night, so one night he poured cooking oil on the roof. He said he awoke to a clatter and found a mangled student lying on the floor, turned out he smashed his collar bone. He also said he kicked fk out of him before phoning for an ambulance smile
F*** you! We're not all bad - I'm a first year student and I found this just as infuriating as you

Parking my car in an open car park right next to five student bars is never a good idea, as I found once found out! Found my Fiesta 10 metres further forward than I had parked it, I presume having been pushed despite the handbrake being on. I was livid but frustrated at not having anyone to physically focus my anger on, shall we say. And do you know what? I'm a student! (Burn me).

I was an automotive engineering student.
At no point did I vandalise anyone's car, in fact quite the opposite, I helped a few of my non petrolhead friends to help keep their shoddy student cars running.
I can understand where the stereotype comes from though, in my one year at halls of residence I had both wing mirrors smashed off my car twice, a brick through the window once to steal my wallet (my own fault, I shouldn't have left my wallet in there) and another brick through the window for no apparent reason.

Yeah that.

Some of us are good and taking the automotive industry forward too smile

But every stereotype has a cause and there are alot of student nobbers.

I was sent this pic of my VX - serious rage when I first saw it but thankfully not even a scrath (don't want to think about how I would have been if there was some damage)- but as said in this thread, its done without meaning any harm what so ever (in my case anyway), some people just don't understand the damage it can cause/the love the of cars. I just reminded her it simialar feeling she'd get if I were to snap the heels off her favourite shows.

I've seen someone do a "car run" before, in fact I'm ashamed to say it was a mate.

I was a pretty daft teenager back then & even though we all laughed I knew it was wrong, but when young & under the influence these things happen. Unfortunatly very rarely does anyone get the chance to get their own back, although you kind of hope karma catches up eventually.

I've twice had my business' banner ripped down outside work so perhaps it's catching up on me for not stopping him!

The lad who I knew that did the car run ended up in a bit of a sorry state as it happens, his misses shagged his best mate & he had a bit of a heavy drugs problem for a while. No idea what ever happened to him, he was more a mate of a mate & not someone I'd want to keep in touch with.

Doesn't help the poor sod with the damaged car but that's life unfortunatly. If I saw someone doing it know there'd be a swift intervention/call to the bib, I've obviously grown up.

£20,000 worth of damage yet... "Pay £1,000 compensation to Mr Greentree at the rate of £25 a month.".

Funnily enough, Mr Greentree slated the justice system.

Back on topic I'm 90% certain I saw the yellow Vette yesterday parked in the carpark of the Hunters Inn in Romsey, Hampshire. I drove past at 40, so didn't get the best look at the plate, but I'm pretty sure it was the same, everything else matched i.e. it was yellow and a Corvette.

Oh and I've still never forgiven a ex-friend for climbing up onto the roof of my Volvo 340 back when I was a poor student and denting the roof, not the best car in the world but it was mine.

I went out to my car one morning to find a pizza box on the bonnet and one of the side rubbing strips broken off. I guess someone had used my car for a drunken picnic. That was just one of the reasons we moved house not long after. Just such a crappy local environment.
