The gearbox a TKO 600 (600LBS ft) is finally here, super short shift but the exhausts will take some work now we have it in place. Hope to take it out for a blast sunday.....

Sunday does sound a little ambitous?!

If you need anybody to give you an opinion on how it compares to an original Cerb, i am just down the road

Seriously, if you need a hand with anything give me a shout - would love to see this project in the flesh.

As Rob says, another interested party here... whereabouts is dynotorque in Brum??

We'll have to do the whole body off thing sometime in the next year or two, so would love to have a look around.

I was being ironic when saying about a blast this weekend, however i dont know how to do those smiley faces! The engine i s well and truly in, new ones fabricated from the original TVR ones, basically cut in half and mounted on the side of the block with plates. The gearbox mount too was fabricated completley from scratch, makes the original look puny! now the chinese puzzle of the exhaust starts. As you can see it goes forward first.

Fook me Chancey, yer crackin' on.....

You were finishing up the g/box mount when I left...Looking at the pic' time you had one bank of headers halfway done two hours later....biglaugh

Bet Martin had maybe cut 3 bits of tube for his RX/LS headers by then.....rofl

You'll have it all done and dusted before I even get my Westy body back on...beer

Good God I know exactly where you are. I used to buy recon and recored radiators from a place in Greet, and there used to be a Farrell (sp?) place near the VW restoration people. One of the mechanics of Farrells used to help me with my car when I was a teenager and just learning about cars.

I may pop over before the car's finished. Would be great to take some pics. thumbup

They're still there then? Cor, I last went there in 1988 with my first car.

My Aunt used to live on Knights Road, opposite the scrapyard. They found out the ground was subsiding there, and tore those houses down. I think the scrappy's long gone too hasn't it?

Right, I better make a date to come and see that Chevvy conversion then. Reaquaint myself with the area. thumbup

If anyone has not heard of them before, I will happily voucy for the quality of Dyno Torques work. Craig is a top mechanic and although not on the same scale, Craig worked wonders on the 4.5 conversion in my old wedge - not to mention the power steering conversion or the fabricated exhaust.

Craig / Paul - it looks like your creating a monster! I'll have to pop the wedge in for a service so I can have a look.
Lee.

Neil, lemme know when you think you might go, and if I'm working from home, I'll come along in the Cerb.

Very tidy looking install, although I'd love to see a picture with the ancillaries around as it looks like you are very low on space.

Also do you think you are going to have to modify the frame behind the gear lever?
