Go for a search on the cerb forum and there are seats mentioned there.

It's a bit of a struggle as I am finding out myself. You will need the adapter bar and board that extends the base of the rear seat, otherwise when you fit a child seat it pivots on the edge.

Then you have the problem of finding a seat that will actually fit in the narrow Cerb seat - I hear that the Recaro Start fits, but I have yet to try one. Another Recaro model I got a chap at Halfords to try to fit, simply didn't.. But I believe the Start has a narrower base. Apparently there is a Britax one that fits too.

Then of course there is the TVR-made seat that comes in two bits, covered in leather, but they seem to be as rare as hens teeth... I've looked and not seen any for sale (plus you probably don't want to buy a car seat second hand as you don't know its history - that's the advice I have read anyway...)

I did try the Argos Solofix seat that somebody recommended, but it seems to be a bit too tall for the back of the Cerb, so that's been moved into the daily drive...

Let me know if you find a solution...

The Britax Freeway has done us ok for our two, albeit with the base board to make the seat "bench" a little flatter and deeper, as the previous poster mentioned (there's much on this in the archives).

Of course, that link is in no way an endorsement of that particular retailer (who I've never heard of). There are other retailers

I seem to recall that TVR offered child seats for the Cerb in matching interior leathers too! Wonder if the supplier is still going - who would know?

Does that mean you are in some way affiliated to the retailer in question? And if so is there any chance of a PH discount? wink

lol! No, it means (or rather, was meant to mean) that I've found that the seat fits (with the board) and have used it for a few years. The links point to places where you might be able to buy it from. In accordance with Ted's rules, and all sorts of other reasons, I just pointed out that I've nothing to do with those retailers! smile

I never really thought that it could be read that I was trying to convey that I did have connections with the retailer. I suppose I'd have added a judicious "wink" or few!

In fact, if I didn't still need it, I'd put mine in the classifieds (notwithstanding the obvious advice against buying 2nd-hand car seats) :-)

I got the recaro start or something like that. It works well, you can get a special bar fitted but I found it OK without. Allowing space for babys feet left the wife a bit crushed in the front though and incessant winging ensued. In the end I had to sell the Cerby and get a 'semsible' family car. Hope the same fate doesn't befall you!

The recaro seat has also fitted easily in every car I have had when the Cerby was getting fixed, and the family car that I ended up with. It also fits in the Chimaera wink

Whereabouts are you, Pecky? We've got a TVR-made child seat that we were using in our Cerbera - but we don't have the car any more. It's never been involved in any accidents or anything, our 4 year old was using it right up until we sold the car.

We were going to put it on the classifieds one of these days, but if you're interested let me know and you can have a look at it. smile

It's Portland Grey. We had to buy a Magnolia one initially because we couldn't get the grey to match our interior, so we grabbed this one when it was available. Sold the Magnolia one, I'm afraid!
