My gearstick on my '03 111s has stopped self centering. I've took the centre console off but can't see anything obvious. Will an eliseparts shift upgarde help? Or is there another way?
Cheers

I had exact same problem; Elise linkage will 100% definitely fix it; it's the rose joints that stiffen up. You could take yours apart and regrease what's there but the time and effort taken to do that you may as well put the Eliseparts linkage in there anyway as it makes a HUGE difference; amazing how much so.

Go for it thumbup

Yup, must admit it made such a great difference yes

to regrease what's there you need to take off the connections between gearbox and gear stick so rather than putting back on the standard ones it's well, well, WELL worth putting the linkage kit on from elisepartrs.

Have a quick look at this thread; http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

it does take a small amount of tinkering to get the rose joint the perfect length but I stress, it's well worth it.

just greased everything with out taking it all to bits and after a while everything was back working ok.

Did buy the linkage kit, but managed to lose it before I fitted it banghead
