No-one can deny that this 1964 Ferrari 250 LM is anything but a pure Italian thoroughbred - designed by Pininfarina, coachwork by Scaglietti - and only thirty-two were built.

This particular example (chassis no. 5845GT) was the fourth built and was raced extensively, including taking first place at the esteemed 1965 Austrian Grand Prix. The dashboard was covered with leather, sliding windows were replaced with wind-up windows, and seat belts and carpets were added. It was later shipped to the US and converted for road use and was at one stage used for regular commutes into New York city.

Fully restored in 2002, it is being auctioned at RM Auctions' ‘Ferrari Leggenda e Passione’ event at Maranello this Sunday along with over 45 other rare Ferraris.

Has the photo been flipped? Seems odd to have a RHD car with only 1 wiper on the right for a limited number car like this

I'm sure my ignorance of all things fezza may show though here

Very nice, but not my favourite 250.
The 250GT Lusso and he 250GTO are painfully good-looking.
Shall certainly be using that for my desktop though!

And that'll be my Photoshop entertainment for the night!

on the super-size version you can see the badge is the right way round, could have potato-chopped it though i suppose

There are some more pictures in the sales brochure HERE which seem to confirm that it is indeed RHD!

My Burrago (SP?) model of said car is RHD, presumably to do with Le Mans regs, perhaps that was advantagous for the running start in LM of old

One of my very favourite cars (deffo top 5). Funnily enough I was looking for a picture of the LM yestrady on the Ferrari website. It's one of the fiew thery didn't have, so thanks for that!

AFAIR all 250 LM's were RHD.

I like this one more than the other 250s somehow. Maybe it's because i used to have a 1:24 scale model of the thing, which unfortunately came to grief over a period of years. Think I only have the tyres and one door and the bonnet left now.
