Picture Of The Week

Revised V8 Vantage brings a touch of class to this week's wallpaper

Aston Martin has unveiled a range of improvements for the V8 Vantage

The revised car now features an improved 4.7-litre V8 producing 420 bhp (up 11%), as well as significant revisions to the suspension and transmission.

The interior has also been revised, including the introduction of an ECU as seen in the DBS to replace the conventional key used previously.

For the exterior it is business as usual apart from two new designs of alloy wheels, but this is no bad thing as the V8 Vantage still looks good enough to make for a stunning picture of the week.

Oh god, the 'emotional control unit' escapes to the rest of the range.

I like the way you've incorporated a News item into the Pic of the Week slot too - very sneaky!! wink

I don't know why, but just the addition of those new wheels makes the car even more stunning - combined with the new engine to give it the performance it rightly deserves - and its just an amazing car.

I don't care one jot about the 'ECU' - just look at the bloody thing...

Not too sure if I like those wheels, I'm sure I've seen a set of Falkens on them in Halfords recently................

Agreed. Pretty car like that deserves something better. I still think BBS' old RC pattern is one of the most aesthetically pleasing around.

Still one of the best, and now even better, even if it is getting rather common nowadays. You wouldn't expect to see four in one hour in Lancashire but I did the other week. Still much rarer than 911s though cloud9

They're the wheels off the DB9 Sport Pack, and that's been around for quite a few years...

A 4.7 liter engine is quite a nice upgrade. That should give it some extra torque, which is nice to have with a car that weighs at least 3400 lbs. Great news, but I didn't see this one coming.

More power/torque and less CO2. Great engineering achievement.
