I know its fibre glass but from cosmetics point of view...what have you coated them in?

Have used this stuff on my Range Rover. Its like the old underseal stuff but it stays a little bit flexible - takes ages to dry. Horrible stuff to work with though, if you get it on your skin or in your hair.

Prep: nothing (but the underside had been given a go with a garage jet-wash prior - nothing too exacting, just a 2 minute job).

Application: by a 3 inch brush. They do recommend not to try to apply it too thick (IIRC it states 2mm max) and so I gave it a 2nd coat. I also did all around the front of the engine bay either side of the radiator and especially on the tray in front of the rad it tidied up things a lot.
