Yep, not a bad run considering the weather. Knackered now tho from going in front. Thankfully I dont have a green polo imprinted on the front of my car, even if I do have half of the Bwlch mountain road wedged under the arches!

Hope the revised route was to everyones liking (apart from the scatter gun resurfacing work) and we all had fun.

Good to see new faces again. Unfortunately my rear view mirror now has a 'screen burn' of a black mondeo somehow!

Where'd you all go at the end!? To get to Merthyr we must go ALL the way round the roundabout (You can only join the road going East). Doing a U turn prior on the 'Heads of the Valley' road would have been slightly illegal, and would have no doubt caused bedlam! - hope you recovered ok anyhow

Sorry i went missing. I had to drop out after 3 miles at full throttle. My brakes are screwed and after the first few corners they gave up the goast! I didnt want to risk rear ending anyone, it just wouldnt be polite

Im well gutted that a couldnt stay for the whole day

I went back up for a run afterwards in the wifes Polo and spotted the MR2 and MX5 at about 3:30 coming back down the A470.

Wow, what a day.

I started to find out after 2 years what my car is really capable of. I have never pushed my car as hard as that in the wet before.

Some very nice cars and your right that Mondeo doesn't half shift.

That Clio did quite well come down from the Black Mountains.

Hope everyone got home in one piece, not like some other unlucky person, I passed a Rover parked on its roof just passed Sennybridge.

Thanks again for an excellent day, was a pleasure to be part of it.

pics sent red-roman. evilsoup, it wasn't you in that polo-tree hybrid on the sharp bend with the panicky woman jumping out of the way of the locked up lotus was it??? (shame the WRX brakes gave up, it was awesome esp on the windy empty road (empty road pics) but it was quite intense on the brakes, my freshly cleaned sparkling alloys and now graphite coloured on the fronts...

Oops, think that was down to me, lost you on the roundabout and ended up causing chaos trying to turn around in a village (in a car with the lock best suited for track) and then stalling
Anyway ended up with three cars coming down through Abercarn to the Caldra roundabout and onto M4. Not sure about the other guys but I'm sure they found their way home.
Sorry folks, but the moral of the story is don't let 2DOGS go in front
