Paul GT3 is having a full engine rebuild, but to be honest the little Beemer was the ideal tool for the job. Only car to get past was an N24 Aston on wets.
The N24 Aston, a true factory road legal lightweight......unlike the"tinsel" offerings from Porsche today....quote James May and I agree....

The N24 really gets me all excited despite being a Porsche nut. Anyone knows whether they can be made road legal on the continent?

Today was crazy...

driving the ring in a blizzard, is well, $hit.

But actually there was more grip today (friday) then yesterday. Yesterday was incredibly slippy.

Real shame, but thats life i guess. Going back a week on monday.....am expecting snow this time, but who knows!

best,
adam

Well, Top Gear drove one half way around Europe, so it may be possible...

finally made it back to London after a hellish 8 hours trip! Never seen so much standing water on a German motorway - anything north of 70k with these cup tyres was murder. really felt that a Cayenne would have been a better choice for this trip. ..

Not sure i will do the trip next year. Too much of a gamble.

Glenn, anytime for the ride.

Well it was the only time I overtook the Autocar cup car - admittedly it was on the back of its trailer at the time smile

Des Des Des... the N24 is not factory road legal!!!

Thank Prodrive for doing the necessary mods and SVA'ing the N24...

No different to SVA'ing a Cup car...

Didier,

I think we met at an RMA trackday in December 04? I was there in an Alpina B8, and you took me for a pax lap in a black Mk2 GT3.

If i had known it was you i would have said hi! Maybe next time smile

I had great fun running my caterham on full racing wets. I have some great footage going sideways on nearly every corner, awesome fun, looks like the ruf yellow bird video.

Don't know how graham gets a customer base though, calling people w**kers and all. What does he expect when he gets the shitty dates?

Cheers

RMA don't get all the shitty dates, July could hardly be accused of a month renowned for adverse weather. As for Graham calling people w**nkers it's all a bit tongue in cheek and to be taken with a pinch of salt. RMA have an excellent reputation and Graham is obviously keen to maintain this.

I've been to many events over the years in November with Wheeltorque and enjoyed excellent weather. Sure it's a bit of a lottery at this time of year but it's down to the individual whether they book or not.
