V8 Vum, would you happen to have any pictures of what you fabricated?

Graham-P, have you had any luck sealing off the top of the chassis, in the cockpit, where the side pods and center section meet? I am still in build and looking to do the same thing. Can anyone think of a reason why I should not?

Thank you and please advise,

Randy

It would be far easier to seal the rear of the side pod behind the luggage box. With this sealed and the areas around the front wheel well sealed as per Factory there will be no air flow into the footwell over the side rail.

To seal the back of the pod make an ali panel that roughly fits in place and seal all round using PU sealant.

agree with sealing the rear being more important, but even with this sealed the side pods have the rad pipes in them and so the air is heated and thus rises into the cockpit over the rail!

I personally dont like the idea of wrapping the pipes..... I had wondered if the pipes could be enclosed at the front and then have vents from underneath to further aid the cooling, but this was after I had the car on the road and there is now way it could be a retro mod.
