It's not exactly unknown that the Daily Mail has 'beef' with the Beeb.

Maybe all those who don't read the Mail should complain about the dreadful state of the paper, and the Editor should resign. - kind of similar to what has happened at the BBC!

!!HUMOR BYPASS ALERT!!

My bloody mother reads the Wail and it's just the pits of the earth. So what a comedian made a joke about the Queen?

I can think off the top of my head a lot of worse things said in humour. I would wager 95% of the Wail readership have never seen MTW and were more than likely in bed when Brand and Ross were on Radio 2.

Im not defending the Cock and Jonathan Ross, but sure, be offended if you actually heard the programme being broadcast, not just taking the hump over something a bigot writes in a newspaper.

God this annoys me! mad

Is turbobloke on holiday or something?

He usually mounts a sprightly and impassioned defence of the Mail.

The BBC fills our living rooms with more smutty and degrading obscenities

The Wrong Door: Smutty Aliens, BBC3, September 11, 10.30pm
Alien 1: Behold! The fastest ship in the whole world. The hyperian w*** sock.
Sue: It looks like a giant c***. [Two Aliens and Sue board a space ship in the shape of the male genitalia.]
Alien 2: Engaging the lesbolian c*** drive. [The alien makes sexually suggestive movements with his hand.] The dialogue becomes even more crude and explicit in the subsequent exchanges.

Love Soup, BBC1, April, 9.20pm
The 'comedy' portrayed an extremely violent and realistic suicide of a woman leaping from a ten-storey building and smashing into the concrete pavement.
It transpired that the woman had left behind a dog which was then adopted by Milly - played by Montserrat Lombard.
Viewers were then treated to a scene of this young woman, naked in the bathroom to retrieve a contact lens, apparently being raped by the dog. Viewers were shown the labrador passing the bathroom door and then a pair of dog paws on the woman's naked shoulders in the scene lasting seconds.
Viewers learned that the suicide victim had been having sex with her dog for many years - and the animal had effectively been trained to target a kneeling woman. Laughing about the incident around a canteen table, one of the characters quips: 'There is love and attention - and [there is] being rogered by a dog'.
Smutty Aliens....err, the clue is in the title!

As for that Labrador scene - I actually cried with laughter at that bit, one of the funniest things on telly this year.

One can only assume that they have run out of:

Teenage pregnancy in hoody wearing gypsies costing hard working middle class families 1000’s in stealth taxes while post code health lottery in the NHS prevents middle classes getting treatment despite immigrants getting 1st class treatment for fear of religious discrimination.

style stories to run.

The result is that they have had to find a new elderly middle class bile generator by demonising edgy comedy. As far as I am concerned their readership does not represent the whole spectrum of license fee payers and the BBC can happily continue to use my fee to produce these programs (MTW is one of the few programs I regularly watch).
How can the BBC be expected to produce programs that everyone will like? It can’t it needs to and does produce programs that cater for the wide range of tastes in its audience. So if you don’t like a program don’t watch it or do if you wish but kindly STFU.

Hmm, so the Daily HateMail holds a grudge against Mock The Week, then. That would have nothing to do with the episode in which a round was "Advertising slogans you won't see" andwered with
"The Daily Mail, openly racist so you don't have to be"

As it happens, I do find all examples given inappropriate. But balanced against the HateMail's record of inciting racial hatred by misleading and lying, I'll stick with the inappropriate, please Bob.

The Mail is a hateful ars€wipe of a paper, read mostly by dilletante middle-class wannabes.

It's The Sun without the paps. Ironically, most Mail readers would look down on the likes of The Sun but the quality of journalism is very similar.

FFS, that episode first aired years ago and they didn't have a problem with it then.

One thing that has occured to me during this "non-event" is whether there is a mechanism to support the incident. We've heard about x number of complaints. Is there a way to register your support, as easily as you can register a complaint, in order to provide some balance? So you can have x number of complaints and y number of compliments.

Edit: Oh and I agree, I think Frankie Boyle is a fking comedy genius and I'm gutted I missed out on tickets to his show.

Really? Possibly in terms of generalisations, given they take the rip out of misguided nu labia spoutings and seem on-side for most motoring and global warming coverage, but on specific instances like this there's not much to do except agree.

Even if I wasn't a bit busy just now it would be a tough call though - I despise the biased leftist culture at the beeb so anybody or anything having a pop at auntie is OK with me.]

If the Mail irritates don't bother contacting them, as they don't care - just send your complaint to some of their main advertisers explaing how you won't be patronising their products anymore and neither will friends/family due to their support of the Mail.
