I never got that one. What does all the German mean? It looks like cuts of meat from a pig!
Exactly! That's why it was called the Pink Pig whistle

Several favourites

porsche 917k ""Hippy Porsche ""

the iconic Ferrari 512S

A picture to paint a thousand words , here Joe Siffert in the #20 JWA Gulf 3.0 Porsche 908/3, shakes his fist in frustration, behind Ignazio Giunti (I) as he tries to pass the #57 SpA SEFAC 5.0 Ferrari 512S (chassis 1010) in the opening laps.

probably the most famous 512 coda lunga Le Mans 1970 here driven by Arturo Merzario and Clay Regazoni ...not Eric Stahler !!!

Ford Capri RS3100

team gunston Capri 1970.

Team Lotus 49

How about the Canon Williams F1 car, the Yellow Camel Lotus cars, the Embassy cars in the 1970's and my favourite the Ueno Clinic McLaren F1 from Le Mans 1997.

The Ueno clinic specialises in adult male circumcision, male enlargement and associated issues.....not what one associates with a McLaren F1 GT car!!

A one-off, but still one of two liveries that spring to mind when I think of the BMW M1:

The other one of course, is this:

Enzo was having one of his regular sulks (I think it was because the FIA wouldn't homologate the 250LM) and withdrew his cars from F1 in protest. Fortunately they were "entered" by NART (though the mechanics looked very Italian) which enabled John Surtees to win the World Championship at the Mexican GP.

Probably a bit too recent to be truly iconic but still one of the better BTCC liveries:

I'd completely forgotten about the Fina Mac, that is a sexual combination, I think I prefered it as a short tail, but still beautiful as a long tail
