FT... Well done guys

On the matter of spooling up turbos I've reasoned where I use mine, on th etrack, because the car ought to be on the mark all the time, spooling is not an issue. If the engine revs drop and the turbos slow enough to need to spin up again then you're not driving properly. Thus I've ignored this aspect and gone for GT28s.
Of course this will be different for road going cars.

Well my car is 100% standard, and I was still the 5th, and it might be argued 4th quickest stock car, and with only 383bhp too. Great day and good to see the Nobles there, I always knew they flew! I nearly went the M400 route but chose the GT3 instead. I think its performance will have suprised a few people on this event, not least me!
Great day had by all, same time next year then!

Well done Adrian.. great result.
Couldn't help but laugh at the closing on the video however when Chris proclaimed "the Veyron is another level up" Well dah !!
Apart from the price differential, they also don't go round corners in Chertsey either!!

You lot are even being given the one you didn't win !!!
Adrian Winch won the modified class with his Noble M400. Packing some 580 BHP and 520 lbs / ft of torque and Peter Taylor took the standard class with his 'showroom' Noble boasting a 'mere' 497 BHP for it's svelte 1050 KG weight
Lucky aint gonna be happy
It's been changed ....

Our engines are so much more than boost, turbo's etc. My car makes 400bhp @ 0.5bar boost where most M400's make 390bhp(ish) with 0.85bar. Different pistons, heads, cams, blah blah blah.
As for the turbo's, it's a bit of a myth that big power needs big turbo's. The T25RS's we have are good for over 300bhp each....
Out of interest what exactly has been done? I wish I could run more power than stock (0.8bar) with lower boost... instead I run very silly boost at present (on a turbo smaller than a digestive biscuit, in a car smaller than a biscuit tin granted...) As for the turbo's, it's a bit of a myth that big power needs big turbo's. The T25RS's we have are good for over 300bhp each....

Just curious...

A standard T25 will flow 300 easily, and be well within its eficiency range at 0.8 bar boost. It was a myth also with fiat coupes that you had to alter the turbo to get 300 horses, the std turbo was fine (if strained as it had to run 1.3 bar boost). They can be made to spool even faster than standard tho, i had a "superspool" unit fitted to the coupe which lowered the on boost by 300/400rpm and increased its efficiency up to 310 bhp/1.4 bar. Always wanted to try and get a pair for the Noble, but funds went elsewhere.ajg31 said:
