Some nice pics there.

The sound of some of the TVR's that were there just makes me want one.

Wow, what a fantastic day! My 4th CITP I think.

How lucky were we with the weather! It was a glorious day.

Such a good collection of cars, many familiar to me from the various shows and meets in the area, and many, many more new ones.

Got the chance to chat to some really nice people too, lots of good stories and anecdotes. It was great towards the end of the afternoon to stand and watch the stream of cars on their way out, such a great mix of noises from everyones machines.

Top work, many, many thanks for organising. thumbup

Excellent weather, brillient turn out. I'm tired but happy smile

Thanks to everyone who helped to get the cars in place. Still can't believe how much room we still had. We got 290 cars there even despite with horrible weather the night before. The grass coped well after all the rain. Harewood proved to have quite a few things going for it over bolton abbey.

I think i manage to talk to most of you. If i didn't, then next time maybe.

I need some nice photo's for the website for next year. So if you have some then could you send them in to chris@carsinthepark.org.uk I have a lot i took which will be up on Monday. I need lessons on how to take photo's and a better camera. The ones so far are looking great.

Cheers
Chris

What a great day Chris! Thanks for organising it!!
My wife thinks you are wonderful for getting such a good rate on the entrance fee and we had a great family day out. My five year old's favourite things were the "TVRs that changed colour", "the Cobras with exhaust pipes like from Cars the Movie" and "collecting conkers"...

Cracking location Chris, good choice, and excellent entry fee. So much to do, and more family oriented than previous citp.

Top man, amazing event, you should be very proud, sorry I didnt get a chance to thank you in person, couldnt find you when we were leaving !!

Have to say I agree regarding the venue -

Harewood seem to have a classic car rally/car club/show and shine etc nearly every weekend over the summer, so they certainly seem to have the organisation down to a tee and know what to expect.

Top job Chris! The weather was absolutely bob on, the turnout very impressive and the cost quite stunning. To see the adult price of £11 each knowing we'd only paid £6 for the car was outstanding.

Hands up though who got more excited about seeing the penguins than the cars? Come on admit it......please don't tell me it was just me and Scott that got giddy at the funny little critters!

I agree about the venue, much better than Bolton Abbey and superb value for money.
Well done Chris and wife for taking the time and trouble to organise it again.
It was a really excellent CITP.

I must admit to eating a penguin while having a cup of tea though.

Hi,

Feedback from the event has been very positive from everyone who attended and Harewood it's self. So I will be sorting out the next date for sep/oct 2009. I have still to confirm a venue for Apr/May 2009. The event is open to all sportscars this includes classics, American hot rods e.t.c.

Once again, thanks to everyone who attened the evnet. We were lucky with the weather on the day.
Thank you for the photo donations. I will be putting them up on the gallery soon.

If you want to attend CITP then please make sure you have registered on www.carsinthepark.org.uk. All newsletters will be sent from that email list.

Cheers
Chris

I am looking at Newby hall on Friday.
It has a train you can ride on. Granted, not as good as the little penguins smile

Does anyone have issues with this venue? please PM me.

I am also in discussion with Bolton Abbey. Just have to see how that goes :|
