Get in!!!

Tickets for Sunday!

Yeah! - Phone system is still st though.
Nice one Dan, I assume you went to three FA Cup ties last year?
Nope.

Gone on sale today to fan card holders with no fa cup games on the card. Phone line only. Adult and child and restrcited view still left.
I didn't know they did that, must be struggling to shift tickets in this climate.

Where are you in the ground mate?

I was surprised when I checked the website today, got through to a queue 2nd time of trying as well so couldn't have been that busy.

Main stand smack bang in the middle - slightly restricted view - not brilliant seats - but it gets an FA Cup match on the fan card which is a bonus and it gets me to a Derby.

Can't complain really.

Don't worry about the view, the atmosphere will be electric.

Have a great time.

The day you leave fully fit players on the bench, during a Merseyside League Derby to prevent them getting injured, is the day we might aswell all give up and go home.
but weren't you playing at home?
Yes, but I live in Norway.
Turns out according to RAWK that the Pit-Bull picked up a minor strain during warm up so Rafa put the Spanial on so as not to aggravate it.

Here we go again. As far as I'm aware DIC are 'still in the background' but I think relations with the Yanks may have soured over relative valuations of the club.

Just what we need. rolleyes

Got mixed feelings about this. I must be the only person who thinks the yanks haven't done such a bad job. 27M for Torres, 17M for Mascherano, 21M for Keane, the Barry debacle was Parry the Clown's fault.

As far as I can see all we need is a top class right midfielder and we can compete at the top level of the league. When Gerrard score on monday night and Anfield errupted I didn't want to be anywhere else in the world, would a bigger stadium make as much noise, or just have more hot dog stands?

Premiership football is such a cock measuring competition, it's a bit of a joke.

Some of you Pool fans are deluded...

Your 16th out of 20...and having been to Anfield 16th is generous...It was like Highbury on Ladies night.

In fact, looking at that table - we've (Spurs) swapped places with you from our respective current Premier League placings.
IM, you're right. 3pm saturday afternoon the atmosphere at Anfield is embarrassing these days, all the away fans take the piss, and rightly so. Even when we beat Man Utd this season this season it was poor. Too many day/trippers/etc (I'm going over old ground I know, but as a 14 year old being in the middle of the old Kop makes an impression on you).

However, night games are very different, the atmosphere can be really good. Nothing like the old days, but I'm sure that's the same at MOST grounds these days.

oh yes, sorry im i forgot about yahoo polls rolleyes , oh well if only the prem placings were as that poll then you would still be playing at our place next year, and not the likes of crystal palace and derby.

Always drive, lots of places to park, but if you don't know the area well play safe and use the car parks on Utting Avenue (runs perpendicular with Anfield Road, along Stanley Park). Get there at least two hours before kick off to ensure a space. £8.

I also agree with the table in as much as Sunderland, on a good day, is awesome.
I've not been (usual excuse about getting Liverpool away tickets), but apparently Stoke make a lot of noise at home, their fans were superb when they came to Anfield this year.

I was in the Main Stand and lots of Liverpool 'fans' were taking the piss at the fact they kept singing!!!!! Pricks.

Yes...thats a poll reported on Yahoo but compiled using DECIBEL METERS OVER THE COURSE OF A GAME AT THE ACTUAL STADIUM

Quote:

Decibel readings were taken across key points in each match - players emerging from the tunnel, kickoff, when goals were scored, just after the start of the second half and the final five minutes of each game.

rolleyes

It also fits in with my experience and that of a 'pool supporter on here...read Max&Ruby's posts. My lad took his iPod and was able to turn it down such was the lack of ambient noise - he also accused me of 'bigging up Anfield all week when its rubbish'.

And if you think we'll be playing Derby next season you obviously haven't seen Derby's current form.

I dunno...rolleyes...next you'll be saying Burnley would give us a game....

biggrin
I know this is unlikely, but if you ever get offered a chance of a ticket at Anfield on a Champions League knockout stage evening, it's electric. I'm sure any gooner who went to the Quarter Final there last year would back me up. Derby games are superb too, because so many locals fight for tickets.

What actually happened that night?

I was under the impression Gerrard barged past him and then Gerrard's mates hit him?

A source told me it was a lot more serious than that - not sure how reliable my info is though.

A source told me that Gerrard produced an automatic weapon at the scene, but he couldn't be sure.
