Greetings to everyone across the pond enjoying this legend of a car!
I've lived in envy of all you Cerb owners forever... until now.. Mwaa haa haaa....

A 2003 Black Speed Six Cerbera is on its way from Osaka Japan to little ole me living in Okinawa, Japan.
Been a poster love since I watched the Jezza on old Top Gear, albeit that was a V8.
So sight unseen, except for the various pictures on the internet site, I made some calls and dropped the cash. According to my local mechanic who assisted in the transaction, the only ‘problems’ are a scratch on the driver’s seat and some rub rash on the wheels, mechanically sound.
Should be here in a week or so.
I'll be photo and video logging almost everything from 1st sight and drives to engine tinkering.
So very excited about getting that until recently unobtainable dream car.

All ships rise with the tide,
Scott
Below pic is from the place we bought it from...

So far all I know is it was a dealer car. It has 35000 km on the odometer.
I had the opportunity to get the vin, but in my excitement I didn't write it down.

I'll post so many pics I'm sure you all will get sick of me!
With luck, they will be positive upbeat posts, not How the heck do I rebuild my engine in the middle of the south pacific on a tiny island!

Dream to be lived
Scott

Thanks for that! I've never been called a Loon before.

So far we have a no power steering, checking the fluid level found some, but its definatly low and not working, talk about a difficult turn.

A few paint chips and to be expected, fiberglass stress cracks as well.
Did TVR have a stock color of black with gold flake? After a couple washings, it seems the paint has real fine gold sparkles.
Weird I didnt notice the other day.

The drivers side A pillar's leather covering and weather stripping is pretty much detached from the roofline to verticle along the window.
There is a security key lock near the imobilizer that free spins,
There is a plug going into the air box near the front that wasnt plugged in, maybe an air temp sensor?
3 out of 4 of the alloys have road rash and will need to be repaired or replaced.

So far thats it. Not too bad of a sting and still so excited to have one.

Correct about the plug at the front of the air box it's the air temp sensor, it should be plugged in. The silver key beside the immobiliser is best left alone, leave the key in place and just use the key fob pressing the key fob disarms the car and allows you about 15 seconds to get in and start the car. Or put the immobiliser key into the imobaliser slot in the cubby hole.

Nice looking car, enjoy.

If your PAS problem is the pump drive then given your location you're probably best changing to electrohydraulic PAS using a Citreon Saxo combined pump and reservoir. You just strap it to the chassis under the panel behind the radiator. The PAS hoses fit right on, and you wire a switched ignition to a new relay controlling some beefy cables from the battery terminals. It's dead simple smile

Is that a Speed6 issue too? I thought it only affected AJP8s.
