How do you do it/start?

I've got two vans for sale at the moment, they are huge Iveco Daily's.

I paid not a lot for them and have advertised one on eBay. I've had non stop messages about them.

Two exporters are desperate for them.

They are offering good money pretty easy and one haggled up £1500 more than the first offer so there must be some money in doing it. I just can't work out how!

Cheers!

It's a simple question of relative prices. Where are they going to, and how much would a similar van be there...?

You can either use a container or a drive on drive off service. I priced up a 20ft container from India a while ago and it was around £1k

If they are UK based exporters they will handle the shipping for you however you need to make sure you get an electronic bank transfer before the vans go anywhere. Also depending if you are VAT registered or not they might want you to sell pre VAT and send you the export paperwork for your records.

Go and hang around outside Tilbury docks or similar and watch the amount of stuff that rolls in there for export. You'll see lot of wagons pulling flat-bed and low loader type trailers often loaded up with seemingly old vans and wagons, mini buses and the like. There is a huge market for it in Africa. They also like to fill up the export lorries with gearboxes, engines, and the like. Why ship an empty lorry out for export when you can cram it full of old spares, white goods, anything really.
I remember seeing an old coach in the dock one day sitting in the export yard. All of its seats had been removed so it was just a big empty shell inside and then they filled it with axles, lots and lots of axles. Even if you were getting a pound an axle the other end, you'd be having it off.
