Garage who did my clutch informed me of it. Says not urgent but air will be entering after the sensor so may be running a bit rich. How do I see the inlet manifold and is a replacement required or can it be welded up?

Also, isn't there a danger foreign bodies could be sucked in because the air is entering after the filter?

Cheers

The speed 6 has six individual throttle bodies, there is no inlet manifold as such. There is a fuel rail running the length of the motor. You my need to clarify exactly what they found leaking.

Im guessing they mean the Airbox which sits above the throttle bodies... Im also guessing this wasnt a TVR garage?

Not soley TVR but yes, they are regarded as knowing what they are doing. Despite informing me that my car was running spacers on the front wheels and this will significantly impair the handling rolleyes

I guess they mean the exhaust manifold and air is being drawn in prior to the lambda sensor ,which will make it run rich.

Ah, that must be it then, thanks. Shows my lack of machanical knowledge rolleyes

I assumed when he was talking about air getting into the system it would have been the intake manifold, so I'm sure they know what they're doing after all!

I asked whether it was cracked and was told no, it is just a hole. Can a hole be repaired do you think? And how's the best way to get a look at the manifold?
