what specs do you suggest?

the car will be a 2 seats coupè rear engine, rear wheel drive.
Light and with performance.
What do you suggest as options, main specs, engine, gearbox and at the end the price, ovbuously not to low compared to your specs. i mean n ot 30.000 gbp for 400 bhp!smile

Hmmm, a smallish, FT86 (or smaller)-sized coupe with a 200bhp engine and styling a bit like an Artega GT would be nice, especially if you could get it to around the £25-30k mark. I'd personally go for something low capacity but turbo'd, say a 1.6t which'll get you power, performance and economy. Spec can be decided entirely by the customer a la Lotus, Ford usa etc so you can keep the base price low and profit from the options. Keep it simple - ABS and hydraulic power steering, electric windows and that's it. But the most important thing is to make sure you have a well resolved design before you put fibreglass to chassis - too many low-volume creations are pig ugly.

Personally I'd do a Fisker and clothe someone else's car - no worries about the more expensive bits, but that's just me.

I'd suggest a Ducati 1098 engine with a sequential gearbox. I think air con, electric windows should be standard. With the body being made out of fibreglass it should be a light and quick car

Front engined, RWD, under 1000kg. Manual gearbox
£25k for a 200bhp NA 4-pot version
£30k for 300bhp NA V6.
Integrated roll cage and adjustable suspension, but set by the factory to a set-up tuned by Lotus. Tall(ish), narrow(ish) tyres.

I reckon something along the lines of a modern version of the AE86 would be a stonker. Not so much for everyday use, per say, but a stripped sort of version. minimal weight, front engine, RWD, very spare inside, etc. people have been itching for one for many moons, and the Subaru-Toyota mashup seems to be getting a bit weighty looking. That sort of thing, but without the lard.

An Italian sports car needs to have a high revving engine, and no sports car should ever have to put up with 4 cylinders unless you can get it to sound like a BDA. It must be naturally aspirated too. Above all though, it must have looks that can impregnate at 400 yards.

rear engine
2 seats
so body GRP or carbon

no bike engine because the car must be usable everyday even if with sport attitude.

under 1000kg

what do you suggest as engine?
what tyre size?

price tag is around 60.000 euro so Exige price.

An ejector seat. It must have an ejector seat... And revolving number plates, and maybe an oil squirty thing as well. That would be cool.

You know that recent Pininfarina Alfa showcar thingy? The Duowotchamacallito Spider thing? Build something that looks just like that. The front engined proportions might be a problem to fit around your layout, but do it anyway.

HTH.

yes
but i'm talking about rear engine
NOT front engine.

that is the layout.
so why talk about front engine?

so just sugegstions about this configurations.

If i ask a cake and evryone talk about pizzas i don't see the point of discussion, or not?

Like an Elise but more padded out with creature comfort...but not at Evora price.

Engine-wise..2l turbo job will do nicely.

6 speed manual.

DAB Radio with aux for iphone/pod/mp3 player.

Air-con.

Some carpet

HID/LED lights.

£25K
