If you like classic Porsches a few pictures of one of my old nails. Old school Porsche in an old school setting !
The family are away so I had the afternoon to myself. Thought I'd have a run out in the SC. Threw the camera bag in. Nothing fancy, just car piccies. Took a bit of time to get the one on Windsor bridge courtesy of Chinese people posing by the car and having their photo taken

It was the standard fitting on a 3.0 SC. I have got a 3.2 Carrera spoiler which is a little neater, but it isn't what the car had, so the Turbo spoiler remains Henry

I've never even had a ride in one let alone drive one but to look at externally at least, that is my all time favourite 911, specifically in that colour with those wheels and that whale tail.

My next door neighbour has a similar Supersport in black and I daren't have a go through fear of meeting a hero!

It can't be long before people realise what a peach a good SC is (3.0 is so revvy in comparison to the 3.2 and the 915 is great if properly set up).
(Yes, I say this as the owner of a 3.2 G50. Good 915s and 3.0 have been much maligned in "expert" buyers' guides for way too long.

Its like a time warp shot this Henry. Yes, that is a very flattering angle. The camber of the road means the car is slightly lower. I enjoyed my afternoon out, rained as I was coming home but in some ways that added to the mix remembering what these old things used to be like. The settings on the heater controls are like family recipes handed down through the generations.
I did have to laugh at the Chinese, there were loads of them
There were some more off shot to the right who stood by the car, crouched down and did the 2 finger V pose. Never mind I was double parked trying to take pictures from across the road dodging people, cars and trying not to look too much like a knob.

Sadly a rather boring answer I'm afraid. Just a car sold in Northern Ireland June 1983 and brought over to the UK in August 1984. DVLA being the paragon of efficiency they are put on a B-reg based on date of first reg in the UK despite a declaration on the V5 that it was manufactured 1983. It has remained on the car ever since.
I think photos look prettier without a number plate showing and was having a play on the Mac Book / photoshop so saw it as an opportunity to edit them out of the main photos. The Chinese picture was just taken off the SD card unprocessed other than a re-size.

That's a nice thought. And one of the reasons why I'll never 'upgrade' my scruffy gearknob, steering wheel or get my comfy worn seats refurbed. It's history, it's patina, it's the old 'favourite shoes' syndrome.As for photography, I've always admired the pictures on your website. Head and shoulders above the rest. I'd never buy a car from a dealer with crap photos.
And while I'm blowing smoke up your rear end, Tom very kindly and efficiently gave me a free valuation the other day for insurance purposes on my 993.
