My guilty pleasure at the moment, recording them each day from ITV4. Love 'em! hehe

Didn't realise they were so old, starting in 1977 when Bodie, Doyle and Cowley all had BL cars like Dolomite Sprints, SDI Rovers and Princesses, as I'd always thought of them in Capris and RS2000s.

Also it's good to see how well they all worked together, and realising just how good Gordon Jackson was.

Great stuff, the cars, the birds, errr...the plots. biggrin

Got the Sky+ set for 5.00 all next week too.

I have the first two series on DVD. Brilliant show, even got MrsSE into it.

They switched from BL after the first series, cos they were utterly useless at supplying the same car two days running. Ford went "of course, take your pick, we'll do everything we can for you".

Also on my planner to watch when I (rarely) have some free time

Apparently Bodie runs a gym in LA now!

I also have Minder on record as well!

I used to absolutely love it as a kid, it's still very watchable now.

Great show.

I was always a huge fan as a kid. And of Minder, too, although I don't find that as watchable now.

It's a shame that they only seem to repeat the same few episodes. I'm too young to have watched the show when it was current, but the Wikipedia article suggests that later series got more violent so I suspect they are not suitable to show during the day.

Martin Shaw films judge john deed near where I work.

Tip if you ever meet him: Don't mention the Professionals, he doesn't like to be asked about it now, he is a serious actor now don't you know!

Was a great series, used to spend Sunday evenings hooked. Would play spot the location as was filmed around where I lived. Sweeny was better. Minder had some classic moments.

One of THE classic action series of all time, and an absolute ground breaker in it's day. I watch them from time to time, and I reckon they are still as good now as they ever were.

He's also the reason it wasn't repeated for a while on UK TV. He was supposedly asking silly money when re-negotiating the repeat fees and only backed down when he was told Gordon Jackson's widow was short of cash.

I'm old enough to remember this when it was first shown. As a kid I was sufficiently amused by Bodie & Doyle necking 4 pints at lunchtime before indulging in sideways hooliganism in the RS2000 and Capri 3.0S while en-route to off Johnny Foreigner with Armalites and .357 Magnums.

I've got all 4 series on DVD. Some of the plots are quite reasonable in retrospect. Gordon Jackson is pretty hardcore compared to his other TV and film roles.

And let's not forget Pamela Stephenson with a hand grenade shoved between her norks, eh?

Back in the day when I worked in the Tax Office, I looked after the PAYE for all the cast and crew for the series. I managed to 'obtain' a CI5 Compliments slip in full colour with the silhouettes. Wish I kept hold of it frown It's probably languishing in a dusty file in HMRC offices somewhere.

I do remember Gordon Jackson was paid *much* more than anyone else though. (I could tell you how much, but I'd have to kill you!)

I was a little too young to have watched it when it first came out, but I'm also enjoying it these days.

There may be some sketchy plots, but the chemistry between Bodie & Doyle is great, the banter they have is spot on.
Always a bonus to ogle the cars in it too!

Rumour has it there's going to be a movie-remake soon, not that theres a great deal of info about it on the net.

Wonder what cars they'll use?

Was that her too? biggrin

She was also a junkie in the atomic bomb in the bowling alley one, then popped up in one a couple of days later. She got about a bit.

Though I don't remember it first time around, I got into it through the books... I still own all 15 novels and the first couple of series on DVD....

A great show.

Do the DVD sets have the "Klansmen" episode on them?. AFAIK it still hasn't been shown on terrestrial TV in the UK.
