Thought I would share my MK1 with you all. I bought the car in October last year and when looking for a car wanted one that was mechanically sound rather than cosmetically sound. I came accross this 2001 model which had recently had a TVR Power 4.3 rebuild and so after a chat with Dom and the remainder of the 5 year warranty transferred I was very happy.

As I said the car was not cosmetically sound, there was some glazing in the paintwork and there was also some sinkage from some previous fibreglass work that had been done. So I went to Powers bodyshop in Northampton to set about getting it up to scratch. From the idea of getting the paintwork sorted this turned into a mamoth job of
- complete respray in Spectraflair Black
- MK2 Grille Conversion
- Upraded Front Lights to xenons
- Upgraded rear lights to LED
- refresh of paintwork on brake calipers

Anyway, pictures speak a thousand words........

Paint job looks really good, you can just see the spectaflair on the last picture on the front wing.
I know some people don't like the red calipers personally I do and I have them on my Cerb I think they suit a dark coloured car. I'm not 100% on the rear lights might have to revisit the picture a few times to see if the "grow " on me.

Well done great to see people taking pride in there cars.

Enjoy

Cheers both, I'm sure the lights will be a marmite thing.

For me I wanted to do something a bit different, I preferred the front end of the MK2 but rear of the MK1 however the red lenses on the back looked a bit dated for me and I wanted something a bit more symmetrical. Each to their own with these type of things!!

Cheers

Loving the colour - PITA to keep clean though, and the front grill gives the car a perfect balance between the mk1 and 2, in fact if I had a mk2 the lights would be changed to mk1's.
Did you take advice on the front splitters and not having a rear spoiler? The new grill on mine made the car a lot more stable at speed without the splitters.

Really not getting the rear lights though.

I am in the LIKE THE REAR LIGHTS CAMP!

Paint looks really really nice and I don't see any problems in altering a few things here and there if the car needs work anyway.

A caviat to this would be to leave well alone any of the more rare types out there (Mk1 S or Mk2 Conv etc).

A job well done on the face of it.............so well done!
