Thanks for the tip-off. I actually mentioned this to a friend last night and there is now talk of holiday involving epic road trip. What a week, potentially!

I will do. I've already got a plan in my mind involving an Aston Martin, the Alps and two awesome Grand Prix...

Just a quick bump to say that the dates for the GP's have been confirmed this week. If anyone is planning on visiting either of these races - let me know.

Thanks

Hi, I have just posted a thread then relised you have done the above!

I am intersted in Spa next year, will be my first F1 abroad and looking into where to stay etc. I am looking at camping as I enjoy it and it keeps the costs down! Are you planning on getting a group thing going?

Yes - hopefully got three cars going from the Clio197.net site, but happy to convoy or meet up with anyone!

We are planning a Monza F1 GP trip this year, 4 of us hiring a camper van in Italy, camping in the Park. Does anyone have advice about getting a site? I heard they do not take bookings and advise setting up on the Tuesday but that does make for a much more expensive week. Has anyone experience of getting into the Park with a van; I know from last year (when we commuted from out of town) that there were lots of vans and tents in the fields behind the 8A & B grandstands but not how they got the pitches, who to pay/incentivise etc.

I've rather impetuously just booked to attend the Barcelona MotoGP so my planned Spa/Monza trip is in abeyance. Couple of questions for those who've done Monza before:

- What is public transport like from Milan to the circuit?
- What grandstand is best for race day? I rather like the Ascari chicane but suspect the first chicane might be even better.
- What is General Admission like on the Friday? Happy to sit in one spot Sat/Sun but like to really explore a circuit to get a feel for it.
- Is it possible to view much of the banking with GA?

Thanks loads!

Can be a bit random but as long as you take care about start and finish times you shold be ok

Having been only once 8a is best, look what happened last yer!

Food and drink second to none, good security, pretty people, usual F1 stuff, great atmosphere
- Is it possible to view much of the banking with GA?
no
