Just fk off.

Take your stty little, battery powered, holier-than-thou, smug-mobiles and shove them up your sanctimonious, toxic fuel-cell, sitting at 9-mph to max your MPG, plastic moulded, bearded, vegetarian arses.

If you are that fking environmental, get a fking bike you fking hippies.

Apparantly you need to get one and enjoy the smugness of doing 80mph at 55mpg

Couldn't of put it better myself. Don't you just want to rip the driver out of his or her seat and punch them in the face

I don't really care because they're the one driving the hateful thing. But if someone tried to preach their ways to me like a silly religion and patronise, I'll tell them to get lost.

I saw one at Le Mans a couple of years ago. It was in a field parked near an Alitalia-liveried Stratos.

Shouldn't be allowed.

I'm sure no-one has ever posted that opinion here. Have you tried one?

is that it?

Get better results from a Mondeo TDCI, and only half the roads population hates you, rather than all of it.

OP, do you keep 'ammo' in the car?

But I am with you. If you care that much about the planet you'd get a bike or walk.

No. I've not tried anal sex (receiving) either - know damn sure it's not for me though.

Same here I get 50 mpg form my Golf 2.0 TDI Sport 140 (which has actually been chiiped so has more power then 140)

I hate the things I nearly got knocked down by a smug prius driver recently as I was walking across a carpark I never heard it

I must have had the exceptions for the advanced driving as they made great progess with less fuel costs

I am not convinced that the overall purchase and running costs are cheaper though

I do take your point about some drivers who are causing problems by putting fuel economy over reasonable driving

Lets face it - if it really was cheaper to go electric then the Govt would force us all to do it by banning fossil fuel vehicles and set up the infrastructure to run on elelctric

Reminds me of the inventor who made the everlasting light bulb - the big boys bought the patent to bury it because it would cost them too much in lost revenue - how much tax is on pertol etc???????????

There's a good chance said Prius driver was looking at you wondering to himself what the fk that monstrosity you're driving is you know.
Maybe...Probably driving so slowly to get a better look, marvelling at its greatness, staggered at how good it looks in the flesh.

Or maybe he was a gay person, and thought the good looking chap behind the wheel may be another wee gay-person and thought if he caught my eye, we might do gay-person things together.

I doubt that. I understand (and a quick search of the internet shows it) that in general, the Prius isnt great at speed and as a result you will struggle to get 50MPG at 75+MPH. Drive carefully and you might see late 40's at 80MPH.

However, a decent modern efficient diesel will get day-in-day-out and will have fun in the process. I understand the 320d ES is quite outstanding on MPG at higher speeds AND its a good drive!

I love the idea of the techy geeky stuff on a Prius. But I hate the idea of them and everything they stand for as they are NOT the answer that we are told (albeit not from Toyota). There are so many ways to do better with less and at a much reduced cost and complexity. Oh, and as for the morons who drive at 100+ in a Prius down the M4 - now that is really defeating the object of them...

hehe

The prius drivers I have had on the advanced course did as well as or better than drivers of other cars in terms of progress as well as better fuel economy

I felt really relaxed in the passenger seats of the above but it was weird to start with

Lead foot dependent and model, the 1.8 has an overdrive for motorways
And why the comparison with diesel?
