As I understand it its quite inhospitable to life, so a no from me. They don't even have Sky+ there yet or anything.

Well the deal does include a space capsule to live in, enough food and air for a year and some experiments to keep you busy. If NASA promises you PH as well do we have a deal?!

What would you do on Mars for a year, hunt down Beagle 2?


Also isn't the gravity on mars similar to that on earth? So you would need to land the equivalent of a saturn 5 rocket full of fuel on a rocky desert planet in such a way that it could take off again.

Hell, if it was easy everyone would be wanting to go to space. It's the fact that you might not make it back that makes it so worthwhile going. And besides, it would be near impossible for the OH to nag me for 1 whole year. So, where do I sign?!
