Well if thats true then I would think it unlikely that we'll see a 981 Spyder as well so good news for 987 Spyder prices

Seems early in the Cayman's life cycle to have a GTS fullstop if you ask me, so I'm going to dismiss the whole thing as 'fake'.

Did you see the Alfa 4c in this week's Autocar? The interior is rough. It's too much in the Elise bracket for me. And 45k.

The 4C looks a bit more special though. (Whether it goes as well as it looks compared to a Cayman...)

Cayman/ Boxster GTS will just be another run of the mill Porsche with a bit more bling and a few more horses added.

I am not a 4C fan, the head lights and the Elise like inside both kill the car for me , may as well have a SC Elise and money in your pocket.

very little is shown on the inside on the 4c and now I know why.

The front light change is unforgivable.

You could well be right - perhaps production capacity will be switched from Box/Cayman to Panamera/Cayenne to suit non-European markets. That said, it seems a lot harder to get a decent discount on a new Porsche these days!

Plus, it would be rather strange if this news is real and was leaked via a dealer briefing in the US - there would have been thousands of people in the know before that I would have thought!

next year is not to early in the 981 boxster/991 life cycle.not sure if the news is fake but it doesn't look real especially showing the boxster on its standard wheels, but some kind of run out model will be on the cards for the 981 boxster/991 which will both be 3 years old and due a mid life facelift and sales will start end of next year.on the planet9 forum there is speculation on the power figures(370hp and 325lb ft) and is it a detuned 3.8 engine.so what will happen to the 991 3.4 ?how much more usable road power can they squeeze from the 3.4, maybe 360 hp?so is the 3.4 991 going to be discontinued so opening the way for more power from the 981 and a stepping stone power wise to the 991s which will most likely move up to 420-430hp for 2015 model year!
the fact they are saying the 981 gts is going to cost £10-12k more says to me more than a body kit and free pasm etc,the fully loaded black editions were only a few k more than the standard 987.2s. if all true we will just have to wait and see to the embargo date next march!!
just to add if those prices are correct you will be looking at around £70k for a nicely specd 981 cayman gts but if it has the 3.8
