Monaro Door Handled
Discussion
you have 2 options.
go to the local body shop and get them to remove strip and repaint the orginals.
or get on ebay and find some cheap Omega B door handles (front) and then get them stripped and painted and fitted.
i have some omega ones being painted by a friend and hope to fit them later this year

I went for option 1 (repainting the originals) last year and they have come up fine - the trim on the inside of the door has to be removed to get at the handles but there is a great thread on here with pictures of how it's done (and I printed them out for the spray shop) - I'll find them for you if you can't get at them yourself through a search.
I recall that, if you go for the replacements (that are metal I believe), you need the internal 'gubbins' as well; the rods are of different lengths (that's what put me off that option).
Check your petrol cap cover as well - mine started flaking at the same time (plastic as well) and might be worth having them all done.
As I say though - once done (properly) they are as good as new so nothing to worry about.
Regards
Ian

Thanks Ian, hopefully 007 has some I can use. Fuel flap is fine I recall that, if you go for the replacements (that are metal I believe), you need the internal 'gubbins' as well; the rods are of different lengths (that's what put me off that option).

What are "Omega B" handles? Loads of handles on EBay, but they just say Omega! They look the same ? Only £5 each as well

All UK Omegas are B`s. Over here the Omega A was the Carlton. If the handles look the same as Monaro ones they`ll be fine - the Omega A/Carlton had square/oblong handles.

If they do, do you want me to order you a set as well?
