Can anyone tell give me, or tell me where I could find, some fast road/track geometry settings for a 996 C4S please?

My mate has an all singing all dancing alignment machine, but it only has factory setting installed on the computer. I'd like to set it up slightly more aggressive than standard as I've got a few track days coming up.

Cheers!

For fast twisty road and occasional track I use these

Front
Caster: 8 degrees
Camber: Minus 35 minutes
Toe: 2 minutes
Rear
Camber: Minus 1 degree 30 minutes
Toe: 7 minutes

Works for me cool

Thanks for this. Was this trial and error or did someone set it this way for you?

I prefer to call it fine tuning rather than trial and error! biggrin

I get a geo alignment/adjustment every 6 months not too far from these settings depending on whether the next six months will be touring tracking or hooning. Car is never a daily driver so I can play with it.

Cheers! I'm off to Spa a week on Tuesday, so will get the car set up as per your settings this Saturday.

Nice trip!!

These settings are still within the Porsche factory tolerance band - just weighted toward fast cornering rather than autobahn etc. You can go as far as minus 1 degree 45 minutes on the rear and minus 40 on the front but I would recommend you go back to the settings above for fast road use otherwise you will get uneven tyre wear.

If the track - Spa - has decent straights, I would use the fast road set up.

Have fun.......

The car is pretty durable, expect tyre wear and blistering like you never get on the road, tyres will be the weakpoint but you can wear the blisters off on the way home!

Which tyres are you running?
Are you using track pads?

I've been a few times with various cars. E46 M3s, 996 C4S, E92 M3, back to a 994 C4S again! Lol. My last 4S was good over there, suited to long sweeping bends. I had lowered that car slightly, and changed the pads to Pagid Blues (can't remember the number!!), and Toyo R888s. This time decided that the slight drop in height isn't really required, and neither are pads. Spa/I am not particularly heavy on brakes. The only change will be the set of Yokohama A048 tyres.

I do plan on checking my brakes and if required a set of pads and maybe some new fluid.

See you over there Mike! I'll be in a Seal Grey 4S.
