Stickers?
Lighter socket?

article said:
The company first objected to the stickers when she tried to claim on her policy after a part was stolen from the car and photographs were submitted as part of the claim.

She was given 10 days to explain why she had not told them about the stickers, and an additional cigarette lighter point in the boot, when she took the policy out.

She was warned: "The policy may be declared void".

Age UK told her in a letter: "These modifications do not fit our acceptance criteria for motor insurance and cover would have been declined if we had been made aware of these at the time of purchasing your policy.

behaviour like this that perpetuates the belief that insurance CONpanies like to see everything not included in their on line list of fixtures as "modifications" so as to jack up the premium. Try an on line quote with one of the major sites and ( as an example ) mine when vehicle reg is entered, cant work out what engine /model and fuel type. Come the security question - it states no makers security fitted as standard, when it's Thatcham 2 immobiliser. I was even asked by one company if it had ABS.
Best example of modification comedy was good few years ago , when one old car I had ,had had the servo and master cylinder uprated for the larger engine model . I fitted wider tyres with larger diameter wheels to get better handling and try to up economy. Not valid as extra safety I was told. But fit a similar size SU in place of the aged fuel guzzling stromberg and that was and premium would rise.
