Mogswilliam (the SC cat) has several, but one of his oddest is the way he likes to follow people to the kitchen, but then wait out of sight in the doorway, so that the person in the kitchen has to go back to look to see if he is there or not (9 times out of 10 he is). Then, as soon as he makes eye contact with his victim, he starts the request process.

A cat we had many years ago was frightened of the vacuum cleaner, even when it was parked in the hallway where it lived. He would creep past it slowly, and when he was almost out of danger would jump the rest of the way.

Tell me stories about your cats, I wil read them even if no-one else does.

Blimey where to start.

Jack, puts his paw out over the food bowl when you are getting him biscuits, as if to say enough.
Comes in at exactly 1045 for a stick (Cat treat)
Has learned to split a mouse in half so when you pat him on the back and tell him he is a big scary lion and put his mouse in the bin he goes out and gets the other half for you. If he hears foil tearing will appear, even when he is in the garden expecting a treat (Bionic hearing)

Elvis will when you knock on the window of the living room come and jump on the windowsill and meow till you open the back door for him, (we have a flap) Will sit on my lap if i am on the computer chair even for a second, never gets bothered if i move just waits and comes back.

Xanda will meow like he is hurt till i come to check on him and he is sat waiting for me to open the front door for him, which like an idiot i do.

Sooty will roll over for her belly to be tickled even if you are not in the room and will stay there until you notice and tickle said belly, will eat anything garlicky.

They all follow you in to the bathromm for a dump, Elvis goes in when the wife is having a bath and sits under a towel, he also believes he can tunnel into anything.

If you move keys or anything similar sounding they all rush in the living room thinking you have picked up their laser pointer and will not leave till you placate them.

plenty more, could be here all day.

Ours is a bleeding nightmare. She's a xenomorph ninja shadow warrior, and likes nothing better than to sneak up behind you, and then make playfull miaowing noises, so feeling nice you bend down to stroke her, and WHAM, thats when ypu get scarred for life. The worst bit of all is, she is black and white, so during the night when i get up to go to the khazi, she hides and then belts out of one of our bedrooms, attacks me, then goes helter skelter round the house like a loon. Mind you, she makes up for it in affection, when she wants to of course.

My Cat has OCD about a certain door in the house being closed. Attention seeking when people are around, he meows until its opened. When it is just him in the house with me he walks past in nonchantly.

One cat, called Nismo, does very impressive back flips if you throw bits of screwed up paper over his head. The other cat likes to wait outside the bathroom door on the laminate floor, and when you open the door it tries to leg it but get's bogged down with axle tramp.

Everytime MonMon (male Burmese) comes in from outdoors he does a little victory roll on the exact same spot of carpet in the living room.

Wherever Parsley (bengal/BShorthair cross) sits in the house, he is ALWAYS facing a wall, its actually very amusing. Its like he thinks he's in prison or something. He always looks depressed.

LuLu is very weird as well. He'll stare at a dripping tap for hours on end.

Mister Schmo has a thing for staring at people in the reflection of the fire, or the TV unit window. He'll watch everything through the bloody reflection! Another thing he'll do is, nd I'm sure other cats do it too), is the old 'where the fk is he, oh there he is running at me doing his best attempt at a roar whilst jumping on me, and clawing me' the little fker. He seems to go the long way everywhere as well. he has a cat flap, but will sit at the door meowing to go out, the lazy fker. After 10 minutes or so he'll come and stare at me, then go out through the cat flap. He also has an urge to try to go inside my T-shirts, and try to escape out of a sleeve, or something.

The Mog' has been doing that for years. We call it 'phantom plopping'. Newver actually saw him doing it, but we knew it was him.

Like jackal, our cat sits staring at the wall, and the radiator for no reason whatsoever. Personally i think she just has the arse on. Havent had the phantom plopping yet, but for some reason she has started gipping everywhere, more than likely she knows we are moving, and its an early reaction to going into THE DREADED CAT BOX

One of my cats, sadly no longer here, used to play the "tail game". You tapped your hand on the floor and she'd flick her tail at your hand then flick it away quickly. However if you did manage to catch her tail she'd normally manage to catch your hand with her teeth and claws!

My other cat, also gone, never learnt to meow till she was about 10.

I always liked the mad cat hour when they'd both leap up from snoozing and just run around like lunatics. biggrin

We had a cat (now sorely missed) who had a thing about my dressing gown. If I was sitting on the bed she would insist on getting inside it, which meant I had to provide some slack, and then settling down behind me. If I wanted to move I would have to get up and leave the dressing gown behind me, where it would stay on the bed with a suspicious 'lump' inside it for a couple of hours.

The one that gets me is a local cat who walks up to the French doors on random occasions, always in the evening, stares in and waits for our dog to clock him.

We usually clock it before the dozy dog does, but by the time we have alerted the dog and got up to let him at the cat, the cat has already run off and is sats on top of the garage, glaring at the mad dog trying to entice some sort of stare standoff knowing the dog will get bored and walks off at some point.

One day I'll sneak the dog out the office door and see if Poodles is still so cocky!

Carter, my 9 month tom will only drink water out of a glass....I have tried lots of different bowls and plates, but he always goes back to the glass.

He also likes sleeping on top of the radiator, which must be so uncomfortable. And he also has a bed on top of the kitchen cabinets.

And he knows the noise of the squirty cream can being shaken hehe

Neither have particularly strange habits, Max however absolutely LOVES Marmite, I suppose one strange habit he has is instead of jumping off his chair, he is so lazy he just slides off whilst stretching
