New exhaust and whirlwind induction = big grin
Discussion
Hi all,
A big thanks to Joo at Track Car Solutions for releasing the horses in my 4.5 Cerb. The main mods are a new Track Car Solutions exhaust, a whirlwind induction kit and remap on the dyno. I've gained at least 70bhp, possibly a bit more. I haven't collected the Cerb yet but I'll post some photos when I do!

Phil.

It is an unusually strong one isnt it? Im just proving the different exhaust configurations at the moment, this is the best so far
The air pressure at the moment here is very low so I dont know if the dyno has a particularly aggressive compensation for that, but the comparison is still representative
so I'm pretty pleased with that.

Big power, very very impressive, these cars are starting to close in on Tuscan Racers rumoured power (Harrys there?!) - astonishing stuff!

Hi Joo, you've got my Cerb at your place at the moment. Where does that best part of 30hp come from?
Its just a really good engine. The 402 hp was with cats in, and they rob about 5-8 hp so with decat this would have been 407-410hp on the std cerbie exhaust. The linked decats add about 5hp at peak , so the new exhaust is adding about 15hp to this car over and above everything else. I collected the Cerb this morning and have run it down to Leeds. The first impressions are startling - at town speeds you get a refined burble but when you put your foot down it sounds like a rottweiler which has been rudely awakened with a pineapple shaped suppository. Its not ridiculously noisy for those of a track-oriented persuasion - it just says "snarl" in a head turning sort of way. Not that you get too much time to think about it because you've already arrived at the car in front.
Overall my Cerb is much smoother to drive and that niggling feeling I've always had that something is holding it back isn't there any more. I'll report back once I get back to the Isle of Man and have had a chance to get a few more miles under my belt but so far a big thumbs up.
