Mine have gone after only 5,000 miles (of not heavy driving). Any suggestions on replacements?

Blimey, they haven't lasted long!

I think the only option I'd go for are the PS/2's.

Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Leagues better than the rest IMO.

Thanks - yes, I'm a bit perplexed as to why they have gone so quickly.

5K miles is heavy. Have they worn evenly?

PS2's if you have an extended warranty, Super Sports if not.

they will warranty a failed part if you change tyre make

what you cannot do is pass a 111 check, orewnew that easy.

why ruin the car and fit old style PS2's it's crazy.

I wonder if the new GT3 sport maxx race has a N logo on it

Very uneven - straight down the middle. Not over-inflated - under if anything (don't know if that does the same thing).

Goodyear on my new Spyder and there's definitely more grip from the rear than my old car on PS2's.

I didn't know the tyre choice would influence the warranty? At the moment mine has Bridgestone but when it comes to changing them, would that mean I cannot switch to Michelin?

you can fit what you like, what the car will not do is pass a 111 inspection check to renew.

NO one is going to not warranty your car because of no N rating if say you needed a new widow winder mech.
I will just put my just about as new N spec PS2 in store any way, so the car can pass a 111 check in the future, but I am not going to be running PS2 this year, as the 2 tyres I lised are far far better tyres.

good enough for the new GT3, good enough for my Spyder.

I started a thread about this a few months back - mine had done just 7k miles on Pirellis.

If they wore straight down the middle the odds are they were overinflated. I know that many who should have a good idea will strongly recommend lower pressures than Porsche do.

I run my 997S at .2 bar or so lower than book on the recommendation of my indie and because my first set wore out before their time, just as yours have. Not had that issue since and can't feel any difference in handling.

14k on Bridgestones and counting.

Despite what others have posted about them, I have no complaints about how the car drives with them.

I did over-inflate them once but only for about a week and 50 miles. Could they have gone that quickly...

His earlier post implies that that's exactly what has happened:
