This very cherished car with it's personal modifications belongs to a very dear and close friend of Johnny and I and was stolen in the early hours of this morning from Ellington Road, Muswell Hill, North London, N10. Really would love your help in order to be able to return this to it's owner asap.

The vehicle is an Audi A8, 4.2l V8. Registration number OV53 MYL It has been wrapped in matt black, the vehicle is originally blue. The interior is grey leather and has been customised with red interior lighting.

It was stolen from owners driveway between 3am and 5am today, 7th June 2011.

I have further photos of the cars interior (taken in Oct last year) which I will hunt out and update this thread at some point.

In the meantime if anyone has seen this car, or has any information, please, please contact myself, Johnny and/or the Police.

Thanks to all in advance. This means a lot to us and a very great deal to it's owner.

And another of the exterior, although now with different wheels as in first photos

Why would you say that? I think it looks horrible, but it's still someone's P&J that has been stolen!

Hmm, yes. Perhaps you could ask them to return it in exchange for your lack of humanity?

I'm not condoning the stealing of it, and I feel for whoever has had it nicked, but my god it is hideous.

Matte black wrap? Best start looking on the local council estates, bound to turn up there looking like that!

In all seriousness, good luck in finding it. I'd like to say that maybe the thiefs will be kind and strip the matte so it's back to the original colour but I fear that may be one tasteless joke too far.

At least it's a free bump.

The wrap is gross.

There's another one biggrin

How can it be in Polish plates yet be RHD. ? Surely that would arouse suspicion ?

I don't know how the thieves get these cars out of the country as I am sure if I was a customs guy I would spot a dodgy one a mile away or am I not given the thieves enough credit ?

Good luck in finding the car - you may get lucky. Make sure you do the local estate drive around in case they have left it parked up whilst seeing of it has a tracker.

Unfortunately that is the kind of car that gets stolen to order, unless there is a string of post office robberies in the next couple of days it is on its way to Albania/Cyprus/Russia/Whereever these cars end up.

I don't mean to jump on the bandwagon here but seriously - what the fk is wrong with you?

To the OP - good luck with the search. Really hope the thieves get caught and do time. Does the car have a tracker installed? I bought my car second hand and it has a tracker but with no subscription. I believe the tracker can still be remotely activated for a fee though...

It can't be put on Polish plates if it isn't LHD. They have very strict rules governing what can and can't be registered in Poland, and RHD is a massive no no.

Also, assuming you managed to get a LHD interior/dash/pedals/steering rack and god knows what else and spent several thousand Zloty in man hours converting it, the Polish authorities still want to see export documents, V5, and receipts of sale before they will even consider letting you keep it.

I registered a UK LHD Citroen Xsara in Poland and they wanted to know the far end of a fart before giving me some plates.

So no, it won't be driving around in Poland. Try Romania or suchlike...

OK but how do they get out of the country so easily if they are halve-inched ? Are they just driven on cloned plates ?
