Recommend me a cordless 3 handset home answerphone
Discussion
Not sure if this is a 'home' question or a 'gadget' question.
Basically the time has come to replace my home phone, as one of the handsets on the existing one is playing up, and we've had it for ages.
Essential features:
- 3x cordless handsets
- Digital answerphone
- Good quality speakerphone function
- Not 'Phillps' brand (bad experience with them in the past)
- Up to about £80-100ish
What do you recommend?
Cheers

Panasonic would be my preference. Had so many over the years but the Panasonic seem impossible to fault and very solid all round. I even buy them for the warehouse guys at work because they kill anything else in months but these last years.
Edit to add, Tesco often have them on special.

Panasonic here too, very happy.
The only slight anomaly is that you can have 100 numbers in each handset, but only 20 in the base station. Maybe that's fixed now. I later needed an extra handset and although not quite the same model, it 'found' the rest of the system first time in seconds.

Cheers chaps, Panny it will be then. Looking at what's available in a tripe pack for my budget, this one seems to come up:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Panasonic-KX-TG8523EB-Digi...

Apparently it gets good reviews too, so unless someone on this thread comes up with a compelling reason not to buy it I'll probably settle for this.

That's the one to buy and a brilliant price. It's obsolete next month replaced by the 8561 hat gives you a shared base phone book and the much coveted talking caller ID , however the 8521 / 8523 on sale now is for nothing as its on a deal.
Each handset takes a headset as well

Interesting. I saw on the listing that these are a bit long in the tooth (potentially), hence why they are on offer I guess. I like 'new' stuff, would it be worth waiting for for that new model? Do you have an idea of what sort of price it would launch at?Each handset takes a headset as well

ETA - I think a central phone book would be essential, I'm surprised the outgoing model doesn't have that feature. I'll wait and get the new version which includes that, so long as you don't think it will be double the price or anything?

We've got the previous version of this and have got on very well with it. Has an internal call function as well - comes in handy on a 3 storey house!http://www.amazon.co.uk/Panasonic-KX-TG8523EB-Digi...
