1987 V12 Vanden Plas ... it has 325,000kms on it. INITIAL COST 100 POUNDS :-)

54 hours it took to replace the head gasket... and a few other items... but it takes ages to take apart the v12 engine.
The jaguar specialist had quoted shop time of 45 hours to replace the head gasket... ridiculous!

Thought you would to see this V12, uprated h.e engine, manual 5 speed gearbox fitted, XK8 wheels and bodykit etc etc, it has had to have genuine british leyland rust removed and then rebuilt, still since it 29 years old it has done quite well.
I have owned the car a long time so decided to restore it.............good luck and patience, Keith
