TVR Tuscan wrapped
Discussion
Not quite finished need event logos, but here are some quick shots of my Tuscan during and after wrapping.

I won't lie, it was a pig, doors off, lights out, seals off. But the end effect was worth it. What surprised me is that you can now get full on flip vinyl, blue to green aka swordfish style, even reflex spice and purple. Well worth a thought if you fancy a colour change at half the price of a respray, warranted for 5 years and quite easily repairable in the event of nicks etc.

Looks really good!
Always wondered about this process - Do you see the joins around the lights or have they somehow blended it in?

The light inside of the light is wrapped first, then the exterior of the car is wrapped and the light holes cut out, with the edges pushed into the light. That doesnt describe it very well! I'll post some close ups to show.

Very nice. Flag looks great. Could do with some flag on the front too. How does the front end stand up to stone chips compared to paint?
It will nick if hit by a sharp object, but can either be reheated and molded back, or a new section cut and placed on.Front is being finished today with the Rally's logo and some other bumf.

I would also like to know how the wrap stands up to the heat on the bonnet as the paint has been known to blister on some. If its OK then I would def consider getting mine wrapped.
The wrap is applied via a heat gun which is considerably hotter than the bonnet reaches, so it should be fine. But its all guaranteed, so if it does come off, they'll sort it.Ok I'll try to answer some of the questions.
Price....Well, I've just spoken with the company that did it and they said that it was one of the hardest vehicles they have ever done. We had sort of set a budget of £1800 and it went well over, so as a goodwill gesture they went for £1800+VAT. If they were approached again, they said you'd be looking at between £2750 & £3500 depending on the vinyl. So not quite as cheap as first thought.
Time required for the job. They had the car for a week in total, but were put back 2 days as the vinyl we originally chose was faulty and had to be stripped. The longest labour intensive job was the pepperpot grill as it took one person and entire day to infill each hole. From drive in to out, I'd say 2 to 3 days.
The front splitter is a different colour, in fact its white carbon fibre. Sounded like a good idea at the time, but looks a bit footballers wives up close.
So overall am I happy with a wrap or should I have resprayed? For a full respray colour scheme I'd be looking at the best part of £5k and then I'd be treating it with kid gloves scared that it would get scratched or chipped. With the vinyl the car has another protective layer, so gives piece of mind. Its easy clean and polishes up using pledge, so nice and easy upkeep.

Grill was an absolute nightmare infilling the holes.

Lights were infilled first then the body was wrapped over the top.
