A couple of people have asked me so I thought I would post up here the information you need if you want to test your oil pressure (cheaply).

You can test your oil pressure from the hose on the wing or behind the oil pressure gauge itself in the car. Obviously the wing is the easiest location as you don't have to remove the dash pod.

This is the hose on the wing:

The thread on the hose is 1/8" BSP and after looking for some time online this was the best (appropriate PSI range) and cheapest gauge that fits at 5.38 with free delivery:

Simply screw the gauge onto the oil hose and start her up. Cranking probably won't build pressure (mine didn't) and after a few debates just starting the engine seemed to be the overall opinion.

With any luck you will see something like this:

For 5.38 and about 5 minutes to test it could be worthwhile for a number of you that think you have low oil pressure or just want to verify the dash gauge is reading correctly.
