Aha, then I wish I'd gone down the same road as you instead of paying £32.98 at B&Q (Murcar) yesterday for this ...

I think we have one lying around in our yard that we just finished this week. I'm not back to work until Tuesday now but PM me and I'll have a look on Tuesday. You'll have to come and pick it up from the shire though...

Spotty Bag shop in Banff had incinerators like the one pictured above for a tenner last year, think they still have.

Cost of diesel / mile = 31p

AB24 / AB45 round trip = 89 miles

Net trip cost = £27.59

Total cost = £37.59

So I saved a fiver.

A trip to "The Spotty Bag Shop" would have been worth it and more though. biggrin

Cheers,

Eric smile

It won't stay that shiny for long! Ours lost its shine after the first fire!

I burned a load of garden waste in one of them a while back. It worked a treat, it got through the lot pretty quickly including 6-8" diameter tree trunks!

eric, paid £20 for one of those a few years back, it lasted 2 years and about 8 days burning at most, okay that was burning a shed and summerhouse so it was probably 8 days full fire. big oil drum on bricks with plenty of holes drilled in it is far better. Next burning bucket I fabricate with have a base made out of heavy duty mesh so ash can drop out and plenty of air get through for better combustion, bit like the grate on a steam loco
