What happens when a topic or post is reported?

I'm guessing a message will appear in a hidden "mods only" type sub-forum somewhere.

Now, everyone has a different outlook, so ...

... suppose one moderator sees the report, deems the topic or post to be acceptable (and hence, the report to be invalid).

They would presumably disregard the report and leave the topic running as-is.

Would they then delete the report? ...

... or is it left for other moderators to see and make a judgement on?

... and should one of the "other moderators" (who has a different outlook) deem the report to be valid, are they then able to take unilateral action and close / lock / delete?

It's automated. Basically each report appears as a poll, as soon as three votes the post is deleted or ignored. However, if the poster of the reported post has been here longer than 25 months it requires five votes. And there are "favoured reporters" (You know who you are) whose reports only require one vote.

I don't think you do get PPP in website feedback but you may get is a small commission fee for responding to threads before a mod or PH staff member, saves them time so they can do more important things.
