Does anyone know where to get a throttle pot for the 14CUX. The cheapest I have found is around £180 as its now obsolete. Surely there is a substitute out there.

Thanks

Don't know whether the 14CUX can use these but the Lloyds guys would know...

If the plug is incorrect swap it over wink its the same pot though yes I doubt you find cheaper scratchchinhttp://www.autoelectricalspares.co.uk/lucas-seb201... Don't panic about the bolt holes being elongated its simple enough to set up anyway.

Thanks for the part number and the place to get it from. I checked out Rimmer Bros and managed to get the same thing for £60(VAT Incl) + £3 delivery. I'll cut the wires and solder on the old plug and protect with heat shrink. Racetech were wanting £185 + vat + delivery for the original so if this works it's a real result.

Again Thanks for the replies.

Was this part for a serpentine Chimaera? If so did you manage to get the unit working as expected by swapping over the connector?

I managed to get a genuine TPS from TVR power.
After buying a broken aftermarket Britpart, buying a dodgy second hand part, I begrudgingly paid the £200 for a
Lucas part which was quite hard to find.
I thought about buying another similar part ( the Lucas head part of the sensor is common to other Rover V8s) chopping the plug and re-joining the wires but thought better of it due to possible risk of reliability issues due to a combination of heat in the engine bay and water ingress at speed??

I found that the genuine part is now obsolete and that when calling and asking several TVR and Rover parts suppliers if theirs was genuine or not the answer was the same. "Sorry we cannot get the orginal and now only supply the aftermarket part. "
Racetech said they were designing a replacement TPS currently being tested and to be released in a few months.
