Do all Nobles smell very strongly of fuel?

When driving I thought it was to be expected but it got worse when I had the window open. When I went into the garage there is quiet a strong smell of fuel but no visible leaks.

Could it just be i'm new to this type of car?

Try your fuel filler cap, when you flip up the locking handle you should feel some resistance. If not, then tighten the 10mm lock nut under the cap but you should only need a small adjustment otherwise it will be too tight.

Make sure the fuel breather isn't blocked and it's poking out the rear of passenger cill, fuel tanks can pin hole too

Check the breather and make sure its poking out the bottom of the car otherwise you can get the smell in the cabin

no... only time mine has smelt of fuel was when the fuel breather was blocked and it overflowed as a result.

If the smell got stronger when you opened the window it would tend to suggest you haven't "done" the tunnel mod yet.
I may be speaking out of turn but if you are not familiar the Tunnel mod prevents your gearstick getting red hot and allows some air to flow into the rear clam, the cause is the cabin is at a lower pressure when the car is driven and can encourage heat (and fumes) to enter the cabin via the gear stick gaiter and "other" openings in this area, when you open the window things get considerably worse.
The tunnel mod is simple enough to do and involves directing air from a front scoop into a hole (that you make) in the plate that covers the entry into the central chassis tunnel, the tunnel end is located directly under the heater/fan box under the front clam.
Details can be found via "search".

Mine did smell strongly last time out, first time I've noticed, but the engine was cold and window open.It seemed to clear after a while.Wondered if this was just extra fuel on start up.
